You know, when they show the man at the top of the building or temple who cries out in the early morning in Arabic--what is he called or what is his title? This is part of the Islamic religion, I believe...

Ok I am not trying to make trouble and I am sorry that it seems this way. It seems lately that more and more people attack Islam and muslims and other religions in general but Muslims are the target right now. GO to the religion section and you will find a lot of questions attacking muslim people ( all of them)I just asked this question and some of christain people are so quick to point the finger at us muslim people but dont realize that they are not being true to there religion. christanity is a religion of peace as Islam is too. It does not say in Bible to call muslims bad people because of some radicals who went and blew them self's up. Suposedly Bibleeaches Forgivness, love. Where is that love now when a lot fo innocent people and childern are dying in Iraq and Iran? because of the War the benefits only U.

I've heard and read about a growing sentiment among some Christian groups that they are being singled out and discriminated against.

My entire life I've watched many Christians be hateful and judgmental toward others. I see a major shift in society by those who are tired of being picked on by those so-called Christians. And I see some Christians being very quick to jump on the "poor me" bandwagon as if they couldn't wait for their turn to be the victim.

Do Christians know other Christians that are like this? Is "Christian Discrimination" being preached in churches? Where is this sentiment coming from? Are there Christians who have experienced discrimination based on their religion in the U.S.? Can you provide examples?

I would like to know how many people out there know that before Sir Charles Darwin (he was knighted by the queen) wrote the theory of evolution he studied to become one of the preisthood of the Catholic Church just like his father, before joining the crew of the Beagle. Also that in his now 'infamious' Origin of Species he actually credited god with creating the first life form (and in so doing eluded, at least I think, to his strong belief in god). It was only later after his death that the modern theory of amino acid chains forming links through random chance came along. Why then is Darwin so hated amonst them Christian community if he creditied god with the first life form. When you answer this question could you include wheather your ocupation is in the scientific field or not. I thank you in advance.

I am an atheist, but I don't see a point in hassling people and telling them their stupid just because they have a different set of beliefs than I do.

This also works vice versa. My saying has always been "To each his own" but I'm not sure why everyone has to get up on their soapbox saying their way is the only way.

All comments welcome...

and that this farming supported cities, which led to all the big bad stuff we all talk about today, which could not have happened in the groups of up to 150 people which roamed the earth b4 that time. Also there is a genetic mutation tracked to this same time frame which may account for certain types of knowledge in the area of speech and abstract thinking.

How can anyone be truely patriotic to American and be christians at the same time? I hear people say "God Bless America" but that seems like an oxy-moron concidering what the bible says will happen in the last days. According to Revelations, the daughter of Babylon will have the most money, power and influence of all countries. What other country has more money and power then America today? The daughter of Babylon will also be a melting pot of people, what other country has more diversity then America? Most christians say that because of all the wars, natural disasters and turmoil that we are living in the last days so wouldn't that make America the daughter of Babylon? If you are an American Christian, how could you serve the lord and be patriotic to the nation he hates the most and will destroy after the last days? I've heard people say Iraq, Afganistan, Russia or N. Korea were the daughter of Babylon but that can't be because they don't have the most money, power or influence
