Because Christians are Hypocrites that don't really know their doctrines or the origins of it. Most "American Christians" prefer to believe more in the Independents days version of the bible were America triumphs all and the human race will last forever. I'm not a bible believer but I know it clearly says "the meek will inherit the earth", the meek not the rich and powerful and the U.S. is the rich and powerful. Americans always try to divert attention to Asia and say they will be the ones but in fact Asia has been the victims of Americans and Europeans for hundreds of years now.
Why people keep saying the Vatican? Like the U.S, the UK and the Vatican are not all in cohorts with eachother?

Becareful with the Revelation kick.
Here's why your use of Revelation fails. EIther:
a) Revelation is not a future prediction, but rather a writing of John of Patmos against the Roman corruption and world domination of his time and the Whore (of Babylon) is not the US, since the US did not exist.
or
b) Revelation is a future prediction that will happen sometime in the future (funny things about future prediction) and the current world situation has no bearing on it. Events could very well take place 10 years from now or 10,000 years from now and the US might not exist by the Last Days or might no longer fit the description of the Whore.
Also, becareful of saying "most Christians say" thus and such. Christians who actually read the Bible and don't take Tim LeHaye's tripe as Gospel know that "no one knows the hour or the day" when the Second Coming will occur, not even Jesus, but only God.
As to the orginal question ( my apologies for digressing) see Paul's Letter to the Romans. God give the sword of authority to rulers (nations) and it is pleasing to God that the citizen does what is right to receive approval, ie loves one's country and is loyal. Additionall, Jesus said to render unto Ceasar what is Ceasar's and unto God what is God's Your patriotism is due your country.

>>>According to Revelations, the daughter of Babylon will have the most money, power and influence of all countries. What other country has more money and power then America today? >>>
How do you know that America will still be the richest country in the world, when the world comes to an end?
The world could end 5,000 years from now. At that time, it could be China or Japan or Germany or some other country that's the reigning world superpower.
So, I think you're jumping to conclusions here.

I am a devout Jehovah's Witness and in the bible it says that one should not salute the flag of his country for the government is corrupt. America will definitely play a role in Armageddon. And those Christians who say that the end is not close, have you read the bible. It says that there will be an explosion of knowledge just before the end. Today, you can pop on the internet to find information on anything in a few seconds. Technology is becoming more advanced each and every day. Plus, look at all the things going on today....unrest in the middle east, tsunamis, hurricanes, natural disasters on scales never seen before. The signs are all around.

Firstly, i don't think u mean a true Christian. True Christians were outlawed by King Constantine of Rome in the 300 A.D.s. The true Christians have completely died out. What u r referring to is a mixture of several major religions in Rome. I like to call this fake Christianity but u canb a true fake Christian and b patriotic. I don't think the end is near because how would it happen? God does everything with an explaination. The beggining of Earth was created scientifically by God. Evolution is scientific facft but still God's creation. So I say u can b a true fake Christian and b patriotic because there will probably b a bigger, more diverse, prosperous country later.

If you're a Christian, you'll be patriotic just because Christians love and hope the best for everyone and it's just the right thing to do.
It does not mean you have to support the policies of the U.S., though, like abortion, not being able to pray in schools, etc.
Everyone has the right to believe in what they want, and as a Christian, I would hope that a person would follow Christian Values that are presented in the Bible...no matter what country they live in.
Therefore, as a Christian in the U.S., we just do the best we can.
Anyway, I doubt if these are end times. If so, and you're a Christian, the sooner the better! But people have been suspecting that the end was near since Jesus' times. I would guess that it's really not that near, but I do find it interesting to explore.

Actually the United States isn't mentioned in the Bible. Most Americans have turned their backs on God. I am patriotic, and a Christian, and served in the Army back in the 80's. Read your old testament and see how God used His own people to get rid of the enemies that never would change their hearts towards God. Babylon will be rebuilt, and many people from all over the world will go there. God don't hate us, He loves all people, but He don't tolerate sin.

Nutshell; America is still good as long as she is still Godly. She is still the greatest nation on earth. I'm thankful that we still have freedom to pursue life, liberty and happiness and a better chance at justice in the court systems than most countries on earth and more wealth as well even though we pray daily for China and other countries to buy our debts. We will be judged as a country, as churches and as individuals. Who says America is Babylon?? It could be possible. Either way, it's important that the watchmen on the wall cry out against sin and warn of impending judgment. Those who are not guilty will not be punished so I just plan on being ready when the Lord returns. It rains on the just and the unjust as well.

To begin with, Revelation was written in such a manner that the Roman guards of the Apostle John could get it off of the Isle of Patmos where he was a Roman Captive. You are acting as if it were written literally but IT WAS NOT! A true Christian will be a patriotic American Citizen if he/she is an American at all. I hope that this does make sense to you. Have a GREAT WEEK!

1. He doesn't hate America, it's just going to be turned bad by the Antichrist. Revelations is one of my favorite books of the Bible, and I have read that passage. The part were it talks about that, well, I have a sort of feeling/belief that the world will become so bad and so blind to the fact that the Antichrist is actually the Antichrist, they are going to be so blind to the fact that he is evil, the true Christians(after the Rapture has come, for it is after the Rapture)will not even want to be patriotic or whatever you want to call it. They will not want to follow the Antichrist. That is what I believe, and I am a true Christian.
