Ok I am not trying to make trouble and I am sorry that it seems this way. It seems lately that more and more people attack Islam and muslims and other religions in general but Muslims are the target right now. GO to the religion section and you will find a lot of questions attacking muslim people ( all of them)I just asked this question and some of christain people are so quick to point the finger at us muslim people but dont realize that they are not being true to there religion. christanity is a religion of peace as Islam is too. It does not say in Bible to call muslims bad people because of some radicals who went and blew them self's up. Suposedly Bibleeaches Forgivness, love. Where is that love now when a lot fo innocent people and childern are dying in Iraq and Iran? because of the War the benefits only U.

I know we are all sinners but its absurd that even if a christain priest rapes a 14 year old boy he is forgiven because christ died for him....Then why are we in this world? it takes the whole point away of being good or bad.....

When this one person here said that MOST christains dont act this way ( that not true) I know only 3 friends who are still virgin. we are all in last year of high school. almost all of us are 18 or about to be 18. We were discussing this in our world civic class and when asked almost every one said that whey dont go to church sundays because it clashes with other stuff. they all drink. I am the only one in my class who has never touched a drink.

I agree with whatever you say but don't forget we do have some good Christians also who follow the teaching of Christ & the Holy Bible. Here no one can forget people like Mother Treasa her name will shine always in the history & hope other Christians through out world will follow her foot step.

Your list is what you do see today in some cases. However you must first know if the individual really is a true born again believer and not just someone who goes under the banner of christianity. Many think they are christians simply because they are born in this country or their parents are christian or they attend church. A christian is a person who recognizes they are a sinner and in order to stand before a Holy God (Yaweh) they must first have their sins dealt with. This is why Christ came,"he came into the world not to condemn it but that the world through Him might be saved." The person must recognize Jesus is the Saviour and only He whom God hath sent can save them from their sins. When a person makes the choice to accept Jesus in their heart as Lord and Saviour and have repented of their sins then they are saved and can be referred to as a Christian. As a christian they should desire to follow the teachings of Christ and read His word that their faith might increase. As we are born into a sinful nature(result of Adam's original sin) we still fail and sin. The difference now is when we sin (and it should not be willfull sinning) we are forgiven as the sins are covered by the blood of Christ. The scriptures say "by their fruits you shall know them" in other words you should see good things done by true christians. Whether it is christian, Muslim, Hindu, Bhudist or any other we are all sinners that need the Saviour whom God hath sent "The Lord Jesus Christ". The Bible says "neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby you must be saved" only Jesus can save you.

No there is a strong reason to be good, and true Christians have a responsibility to be an example of morality and love. Sadly so many Christians cannot live up to the standards they preach. However, I would rather be in a religion that sets high moral standards that I can't quite meet instead of being in a religion with low moral standards that allow me to boast.

Do Christian's follow the bible? Not all. We all fall short of the glory of God. We still live in the flesh(physical body). It sins.
The bible tell us that we have to forgive because Jesus died on the cross for all our sins.
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Matthew6:14 NIV
Who are we to judge. The bible tell us:
Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge other, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Matthew 7:1-2
GOD IS A GOD OF LOVE!
So remember if we don't show love and we call our self a child of God, we are lieing.
God, say we must love our enemies. So pray for them.
You have heard that it was said, Love you neighbor and hate your enemy. But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He cause his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
Matthew 5:43-45 NIV
Remember GOD LOVE all of us and Love You to.

Nobody is perfect. Christians aren't perfect and they aren't immune to future sin just because they get saved. It's a daily battle against Satan. I am a Christian and I am not guilty of most of the things you list above. I personally don't feel that drinking is a sin. I think that drinking to get drunk IS. If you think this is an accurate representation of a Christian you are sadly mistaken.
It's NOT ok for a Priest to molest a child but yes, he can indeed be forgiven of it. It's not automatically covered because he was once saved. We must ask daily for forgiveness of sins. As bad as that is for a Priest to do I have to ask....wasn't it the Muslim leader Mohammad who "married" children? Is his molestation of children more justified because he claimed to be married to them? Taking the innocence of a child is a sin regardless of the circumstances.

I agree with you, see I explained what I think a christian is and I think some"christians" were offended. I am a follower of christ, when I am completely obedient to God's word, sin-free so to speak, then I will consider myself true christian although I have christian beliefs. I'm not very knowledgeable about different religions all I know is what God expects from me and as far as I am concerned the people of Israel have the true meaning of Christianity and worshipping God. What is it called. You can e-mail me if you'd like. I do believe we are to become sin free and it is possible if we are obedient. Do you agree with this?

I dont do any of those things on your list....I dont rape 14 year old boys, and I have basically no opinion on the war, I am not muslim or american.
Many are righteous, many pretend. A group of 2.1 billion will surely have some bad apples. Just don't reject G-d because His followers are imperfect, PLEASE!
And....Can I still be a Christian?

"They" would probably be able to follow the teachings of the bible if it were a little more clear. Quite honestly, I find most organized religion to be very self serving. Muslims have Jihad, The mormons use the allowance of poligamy to disguise the illegal acts they portray against under age girls, Catholics have excommunicated battered women for divorcing their husbands but asks for a day of prayer to rehabilitate the priests raping choir boys. Extremists find many ways to distort these sacred works and twist them to their own designs. Frankly, extremists and radicals are out there and all the rest of us can do is pray, pray, pray, and do our very level best to love thy neighbor even if we don't love thy neighbors god(s).

Everyone was made in the image of God. Adam and Eve Fell and distorted that image. We are made in their image. We all sin. Muslims in that sense are no different than anyone else. And I personally forgive them for what it is worth.
I can forgive someone for doing many things. But it is the government's job to restrain evil. If someone does evil they should be dealt with by the government (not me personally - unless I am an agent for the government charged with that duty). Part of the government's job is to restrain evil in the country, and part is to protect her from evil aimed at her.
More innocent people are going to die if the terrorists are not stopped. The rationale in going to war to stop them is we can kill 30,0000 people to save 3 billion who would be killed if we did nothing.
