I have heard that used to promote spiritual laziness but I can't say that I've ever heard where(or even if) it comes from the Bible. Can someone give me a scriptual reference on that? (I wanna justify my sloth, too)

I was born a muslim alhamdolilah, but I still haven't learned everything about islam, I dunno maybe I'm too lazy to learn stuff..how can I encourage myself to learn about Islam in more depth. U see I kinda felt happy for people who converted to islam and learned abt it very well so I felt guilty that I don't have all this knowledge they possess although I was born a muslim..

Wouldn't you think all the religions had something to contribute to our understanding of spirituality? God loves all His children....right?

The original layout of DC was purportedly done so using symbols revered by the Freemasons such as a pentagram and the compass, square and rule. Some theories claim that the forefathers of our country, being Freemasons (also thought to be descendants of the Knights Templar), were actually followers of a Pagan (Satanic) occult. Further, some theories conclude that the evolution of the United States of America is directly associated with the rise of the Anti-Christ. In my studies I have found many relevant coincidences pertaining to history of the U.S., current events and prophecy of the Bible. Although proof will probably never be available, at least not until the end of times, should we as God fearing people consider the questionable clues as signs of the days to come? Considering such films as "The DaVinci Code" and "National Treasure", how can we as citizens of Mankind mindlessly stand by to observe events which prophetically speaking "are soon to pass"? Any thoughts are welcome.

I asked earlier if there were any known organized attempts at making the world a better place by atheists and all those listed were failures. Note too that communism can work as the Hutterites have shown in the US for centuries now. Still would like to know if there are any successul atheist organized for good programs??

I was thinking that the idea that morality can not be legislated which often goes hand in hand with atheism might have a negative affect on organized attempts being successful??

J K Rowling coined the term, whether or not the abbreviation is in fact the same one that showed up in intellectual circles early in the last century. (Someone want to tell us?) But it seems to me it is an appropriate vocabulary to describe what modern real witches need to do. I'm more the pen than the sword type of fighter, but what does Defense Against the Dark Arts mean to you?

In the old testament it is crystal clear that God fought for the slaves and he resuced them from the bonadage of parohas of Egypt. Then time again, until Jesus was born, God proclaimed that he does not like people to be rich and rulers. The idea behind God's wisdom is that on this earth which belonged to God nobody can enjoy its fruits more than another. Means all earthizens should be equal in all respects. Then how the rich and the rulers in the Christian faith can justify their membership in Church.

When we are born, we automatically and naturally know how to laugh and cry without being taught how to do so. If accepting God is so important, then why doesn't he make it to where we naturally know to accept him into our hearts when we are born? And yes, I understand the idea behind freedom of choice. But what kind of freedom is it when not accepting God into your hearts equals eternal damnation? So yeah, why doesn't God put it into our minds to naturally accept him like how we naturally know how to laugh and cry.

Saddam is now stating that his death is to be a sacrifice for Iraq and that God will treat him as a martyr. I am wondering how Islam see martyrs? Saddam's death is due to what he did in the past; killing thousands. In Christianity, people are claims martyr if they die for standing up for their faith. Will it only be Saddam that see himself as a martyr or will all Muslims claim this as well?

I am looking for respectful answers, if that's possible.

Kids are snot-nosed brats. We don't need them to start fighting over religion. Let's say there a group of Muslims who are praying towards Mecca and a group of kids start giving them trouble. Or let's say a circle of Pagans are chanting spells and people offended. Now if you only want Christianity back in schools, you'd have to ban the other religions which would be impossible since the general public is not in favor of discrimination. This isn't about Godlessness. If you put religions in school, you WILL have conflict.

Since fishing isn't really a reasonable career choice for many people these days, how would we go about fulfilling this command of teaching a man to fish? And btw, why aren't you doing that?

(ps can someone give me the scripture reference on that one?)

If the Sun and the Stars were not created untill the 4th day what was the light in the Gen 1:3. Those that say it was Jesus then why would God have to create him if Jesus is him? Last - why is the light considered good and the dark bad when the light came from the dark? God is dark - What was prior to the light when God said let there be light? The dark right? So why is the dark seen as somthing negitive?
