Okay, I was raised as a christian. But I lost my faith when I reached highschool and declared myself as agnostic until I was 18. During those years my parents got divorced and my mother remarried. When I became agnostic my mother and stepfather agreed with my beliefs and followed the faithless path. A year after graduation I re-dedicated my life to Christ. There is no question I havent had answered and my faith has returned. I have given myself completely to God. The only problem I have yet to face is my parents. They are very negative about religion and when someone says they are religous my family will call them "stupid", "brainwashed", or "misguided". The thing is I completely understand and can relate to this type of thinking although I no longer feel that way. I have to lie about where I am going when I go to church, and this whole thing is killing me. Ive prayed to God about it but I dont know when the right time is to tell them about my faith. I cant live in secrecy anymore

Ec. 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

Genesis 6:9
Noah was a just man and perfect....

Psalm 37:12
The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

Proverbs :33
The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.

Proverbs 4:18
But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

Proverbs 9:9
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

Proverbs 10:6
Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

Proverbs 10:7
The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.

Proverbs 10:20
The tongue of the just is as choice silver. etc..etc..

Aren't the last verses in contradiction with the first verse?

Why is it that if one asks, let's say a Lutheran, what his faith is, he will respond to you, " I'm christian." An evangelical will most likely do the same thing. However, I have noticed this with a lot of catholics. If one were to ask the same question to a catholic, he would respond, "I'm catholic." Catholics are christians too. Why are a lot of cathlocs so specific?

Has anyone who does not believe there is a god find this bothersome? It happened to me and a friend on the train the other day, where the woman said 'god works in wonderous way'. Neither one of us believe in god and follow our own faith. But it was really weird that some stranger would just assume. Its even seen on Yahoo answeres where most people answer with "because god..."

Jesus is not the holy spirit. Jesus is god. The holy spirit is god. Shouldn't it then follow that Jesus is the holy spirit? If A is C and B is C, then A is B. It could be modified that Jesus and the holy spirit are parts of god, or that Jesus is a god and the holy spirit is another god, but it has always been taught that Jesus is god and the holy spirit is god. How is this not contradictory?

About 2.5 years ago I was with a young lady, Nisha that I thought was the with "Ms right" . And well asI was sitting there with her, It was placed on, my mind a vision of lady that attends my church. And well for a good period of time I was doing everything that I could to remove what I thought was something I thought up out of my head. So eventually it left and soon we went our seperate ways, because another vision was given, this time involving the young lady I was with. Showing me that she wasnt the one, same qaulity vision, as the one before. Well 2 weeks ago, ya know how God places thingson your heart tospeak or whatever He leads you. Well I was lead by the spirit to speak to her and well I had a good chance but I didnt and man the Holy spirit spanked me for it. But He gave me another chance I took it and well, we meet Sat, and I want God's guidance. I am no where as established as she is and well I dont have a car yet nor a home of my own. PRAYERS? ADVICE? Any experience?

He does not even need to renew the spirit of ecumenicalism. --- He needs to recognize an ally in the current Holy War with Islam.

All the rich people I know are really nice. Friendly, well dressed, well adjusted people who just light up a room when they enter it. I find poor people quite depressing and am always checking to see if somethings gone missing when they leave. A friend recently suggested that their plight might be Gods retribution for something that they did. If this is the case, merely giving money to the poor might be seen as an attempt to thwart Gods good judgement. Anyway, My friend paid for lunch and cocktails, which was really pleasant, but I thought about our conversation in the days since. I'm certainly not what one would call "devout", but I wouldn't want to get God upset with me unneccesarily.

Why do you think God first chose to reveal himself to one group of people, but is now revealed to everyone? It has always seemed unfair

I know this is similar to a previous question I posted but it is an idea I find perplexing.

This is a real dream and I would like a real answer, not jesting. I dreamed that I was told to pick up an entertainer (magician) to perform at a children's party. So I picked him up and was moving through a building.... a kind of office building... with him to get there. We got into an elevator. We started talking and were quite attracted to one another. Then we started making out.... hot and heavy.

Then suddenly, the elevator doors flew open and a group of people were staring at us. I suddenly realized that I was naked and my clothes were on the floor, but I did not remember taking them off. I was very flustered and embarrassed and began grabbing my clothes and trying to put them back on. Then the dream ended.

What do you think is the meaning of this dream? Please include the philosophy/belief system you are using.

Thanks,

Sue

Now, I'm not trying to convert you or anything but...are you satisfied? I mean REALLY satisfied with your life? And please, no smart comments (though it's probably inevitable), I really want you think about this.

They teach that the pigmented races did not side with God in the prelife, did not grant the priesthood to persons of color until the late 70's, and many still teach that color means a "curse of Cain". I don't understand how people of color could bet their eternal salvation on a religion that teaches that they are not as worthy coming into this life as white people.

Even a cursory review of mammals shows homosexual behavior. It's observed in everything from humans to manatees to dogs.

If homosexuality is unnatural, why is it in nature? If you're a theist, and you think it's against God's will, why did he make it so common not only in humans but in dolphins?

For those of you who doubt that homosexuality occurs in other species: google it, ask a biologist, or ask someone who works at a kennel.

why muslim veiled their women, Is that really mean we men are only tempted by women? Do they not tempted by men? if yes why not we cover our selves. i think in muslim, sin is by doing only, what do muslim say for the lust of the heart. Christ said if a man looked at woman and if he moved by his lust then he commit adultery. But i could not trace the sin of a heart in muslim Religion
