This is a real dream and I would like a real answer, not jesting. I dreamed that I was told to pick up an entertainer (magician) to perform at a children's party. So I picked him up and was moving through a building.... a kind of office building... with him to get there. We got into an elevator. We started talking and were quite attracted to one another. Then we started making out.... hot and heavy.
Then suddenly, the elevator doors flew open and a group of people were staring at us. I suddenly realized that I was naked and my clothes were on the floor, but I did not remember taking them off. I was very flustered and embarrassed and began grabbing my clothes and trying to put them back on. Then the dream ended.
What do you think is the meaning of this dream? Please include the philosophy/belief system you are using.
Thanks,
Sue

This has been a very fun post. Since no one knows me personally, you can't possibly know what goes on in my life and most are way off! But I knew it would be fun to see what others think of a dream like this.... and I did really have it by the way. It's hard to choose one for best answer. Thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts.

I use a rather simple/intuitive system to interpret dreams:
For most dreams, I interpret the various people as different versions or ideas of yourself. An entertainer is often one who provides excitement and/or distraction from the drudgery of one's life. This is especially true for children, because they are so much more easily entertained because their minds are more open to wonder and possibility.
As such, I interpret the dream like this: the children's party represents a dissonance between who you are now and who you were/used to be/want to be. You would like to have a child-like fascination again, but feel that you are too grown-up to engage in such behavior (the office building as a setting). However, the magician, because they are a bridge between adult responsibility and child-like fascination, is someone who has successfully managed to retain both without sacrifcing either, and thus is someone whom you are attracted to. The 'heavyness' of the attraction was the depth of your desire to 'align' yourself with that person and their abilities.
Consequently, giving into such 'thoughts' is what made the doors open. Likewise, the presence of other people (and their grown-up ideas, again the office building setting) who saw you (representing your fear of what others might think about you, absorbed by experience) is reflected in you being 'naked'. The magician 'unclothed' your real feelings, but in doing so, exposed the vulnerabilities you feel in sharing those feelings with others who might not approve. Conflicted, and too worried about what others might think of you, you felt 'naked' and tried desperately to cover yourself (your feelings) back up.

Only you know what the dream means as the symbols - the jester, children, nakedness, feelings of embarrassment and being flustered are particular to your whole belief system and life's events.
So you could begin by asking yourself what these things mean to you and what the overall feeling of the dream was. Humour? Shame? Being tricked?
It might be the answer to a question you have been pondering over or a siutation in your life which has you baffeled.
Children might been innocence/naievety.
a Jester might be a trickster, or an entertainer - it might be malicious or it might be fun.
Making out might be the passion with which you feel towards an issue in your life.
Being in the elevator is an enclosed space and might mean you are forced together with the force/s that surround the issue...
I don't know but this might help you contemplate your dream.
Good luck!

Well first off if were me having the dream I would think i was gay or being raped.
If you had been drinking a few nights earlier drug rape drugs have a few days before the loss of memory can come back, usually the memories come back while dreaming because the drugs used are called medication for sleep deprivation.
some studies prove that even drinking orange juice with these drugs in it can cause amnesia and very explicit dreams.
DO NOT put Symbolic interpretation on dreams of this character. They are not FROM GOD! therefore no real importance of spiritual communication can be found.
Almost anyone can be caught up in the heat of the dream because their psyche has been split into two parts. it is a radical procedure done through the knowledge of several types of SEX magic and mind control techniques. These people are known as Fornicators and sodomites in the bible. They are almost the Worst kind of evil on the planet

Often people or objects appear in our dream because of something we've just seen (such as on TV) or experienced. Perhaps you've been to a party lately where there was a magician or you've been planning a party and considering a magician for entertainment or you saw a magician on TV. I think the elevator indicates taking you from your present reality to another place. I think the sex part means you aren't sexually fulfilled at home so you are using outside sources within the safety of a dream to meet your physical needs. Getting caught by all the people indicates a fear to pursue meeting your sexual needs for fear others will find out and think poorly of you.

I think you are dreaming of someone you like and the magician is taking his place in the dream.
If there is nothing between you two yet, don't pursue. He might be the type of man that will talk about his conquest and that is represented by the group of people looking at you.
The elevator ride means this man gives you GOOD feelings, but only on the sly away from other people.
Not a philosopher. Just the way I interpret it.
GOOD LUCK

Well, I am using the belief system that our dreams are most often ways of blowing off steam and addressing things in the subconcious that the waking mind is failing to address. It may be that you are attracted to or would like to date somebody a little unusual that may not exactly be considered a catch by your social circle. (For instance he could be younger have a bad job or be just plain silly .Hence the magical child entertainer). When you are given a chance to be alone and make your own choices without any social interference.(Such as being confined in an enclosed elevator in motion with what seems like no chance of intrusion). The doors flying open to reveal a naked you is just a symbol of how vulnerable you would feel explaining yourself to friends and family. The dream ended with you trying to regain status quo. Classically, a dream of public nudity often reveals a fear of exposure. Are you secretly conducting some sort of business or affair because that MAY (and only MAY) be a way of your subconcious blowing off a little steam at night so you don't explode and blow it while you are awake. I hope this helps. There are so many possibilities and schools of thought. I hope nothing I say was in any way offensive.

Dreams are important in life believe it or not? I like to write down what my dreams are and then interpret them according to Dream Dictionary. According to the dream, you met this guy you think is a wonder full man. He asked you the big question to marry you. But since your family has a tendency to show immaturity, your afraid to announce it. The party represents a positive out look in life and you not having any cl0thes on means you would need to think higher of your self. The magician means someone spacial in your life. The children mean immaturity. This could be friends or family maybe both. www.dreamdictionary.com

Are you feeling like you are in over your head at work (office building) or in a relationship (attraction to the magician)? I've heard that dreams where you end up naked and embarrased in front of people are indicating a fear of being exposed or of being unprepared for something in your life. Is there some aspect of your life that feels like you are expected to perform "magic" that is beyond your capabilities? These are just some ideas to think about.

Sue-
this dream is actually really common-oddly enough.
anything child hood is -whimsy
a magician-is mysterious, clever and deceiving
office building- logic and responsibilities
the elevator- I assume was going down?
That is a tool for sub conscience (deep in the back of your mind)
The "action"- is a lust- that;s a no brainer-huh
Naked is vunerable
the crowd is shame- again a shock to logic
Okay so you had a fantasy sexual dream, that's all it is.
OR you have a "crush" on someone and its playing out in your dreams and you logically won't act on it.
Either way its a healthy dream, no one was hurt.
Close your eyes and have a healthy "affair".
Do first hand-readings and research such for fun.
Dream interpretaions for years- Metaphysical reader. 10+yrs

honestly, dreams are just bits and pieces of thoughts, emotions, and experiences that are going on in my life. Dreams of nakedness are often fears of something; embarrassment or of intimacy (the talking, baring your soul kind, not the sexual kind). Do you like a guy with a sense of humor but are afraid of letting yourself go? This can even be your husband/boyfriend, and you are keeping something from him, not necessarily a secret, but a part of your life you are too embarrassed to share (a bad habit, an emotional "real" you kind of thing).
If not that, then it is probably nothing. And I would bet it is probably nothing. :)
Nothing to worry about.
