I do not think "chosen" should mean "favorite".
Then, it would be injustice to other nations, whereas God is just.

Actually, what you may want to ask is who is the third group that God has revealed himself to? In the Bible, three equal perfection.
First it was the Jews. Some 2000 years after creation. They were a small group, almost a cult, with religious beliefs not in keeping with what was considered normal and traditional in the known world of the time. They believed in one God, not many, and they believed in salvation through sacrifice.
Some 2000 years later, another small group, considered a cult, emerged from them, with religious beliefs not in keeping with their traditional beliefs. This group of individuals, started by an individual who had no religious education, was going house to house, telling their brethren that their beliefs, holiday observances, and rituals were no longer valid.
They were telling people that the Messiah had come, but this could not be correct, as Armageddon had not taken place, along with the destruction of their enemies (false religion). There were highly educated individuals like Saul of Tarsus, who could demonstrate beyond any doubt that these Christians were a cult and a false religion. Then Saul was taught differently, though some could same that he was brainwashed.
Now, here we are again, some 2000 years later. Christians have pretty much followed the patterns set down by the Jews, and have drifted away from the original teachings of Christ. So now, what group has emerge from the Christians, who are teaching their brethren, as well as everyone, that their beliefs, holiday observances, and rituals are no long valid and that there is a new way to be doing things. It is a group that is being condemned by all for these teachings, and not just by their former brethren. They should be considerably smaller than the whole of the world and stand out just as the Jews and the Christians did.
Who is the third group, representing the perfection, or close to it, of God's people, who will survive to the end of days and see the new system? Is it your group, or another? It can't be the whole, just it wasn't 2000 years ago, or 4000 years ago.

Unfair by who's standards, who's level of logic and intelligence? It is obvious that you haven't studied the Bible at all. If you had, your question would seem as ridiculous to you as it does to me. My apologies. I don't mean to offend.
I think you should read Genesis about how God made a covenant with Abram and his seed because he, Abram, remembered and honored and obeyed God.
Mankind doesn't want to acknowledge the creator of all life and wants to live as their limited intelligence dictates paying no attention to the desires or plans of the one who created them.
Abram listened, honored and obeyed and as such God chose his seed to make Himself know to the people of the earth. Sent His son through the seed, so that we, mankind, could be reconciled with God, never forcing His will but making the way known. Giving us the free will to do what we want. It all comes down to our choices in a series of moments.

God did not reveal himself to anyone. The Jews wre a nomatic tribe with no land. When they fell into slavery they would tell each other they were he Chosen ppl of God as a hope of a better life. They had to tell each other something to go on day after day as slaves.. They made it up. They are no more the "Chosen ppl of God" Than you are the Queen of England.

it's not unfair because he is revealed to everyone. I've heard a few good teachers explain how the old testament was needed god's chosen people to make the new testament valid, or true.

It is not unfair for God to choose only a few to save since all by sin deserve death.
Perhaps it would be better to ask why God chose to reveal Himself to anyone. What was and is His purpose in revealing Himself? It was and is to bring Himself glory.

God doesn't have a chosen people. God reveals him/her/itself to whomever is worthy. A person is worthy when they choose to have a relationship with God. It's that simple. But the relationship needs to be maintained and developed - by committing to that inner relationship with God - by and by, God will reveal him/her/itself to you. Keep seeking God ernestly. Remember God is Love. If you have experienced Love, you have experienced God.

Because they were Abraham's descendants. It's fair they were the only good people left in the world after he had already destroyed the world once so he decided to just make do this time. Every one else were Heathers. OO

God created us as children of His own. But as man sinned and the world was going in a bad way God felt bad, He wanted His childre to love Him. But in Cain and Abel story Cain failed to please God .He killed his brother. As the stories were going on, He chose Abraham . And the He chose easa and Jacob, but though Jacob cheated his brother His heart was pure and God promised him many blessings and named him as ISRAEL and from then onwards He blessed Israel. But after Jesus Christ we all of us have became God"s spiritual children. And He is revealing Him to those who loves Him, whoever the person is. He loves us all. It is the battle between God and Satan. Whoever God chose as His child the Satan will destroy God"s plans and God is still trying us all to save from Satan"s hands.

Well, technically ALL the people were related, but they had separated themselves from each other. The Israelites were the only ones who still (or at least tried to) follow God.
