If the Sun and the Stars were not created untill the 4th day what was the light in the Gen 1:3. Those that say it was Jesus then why would God have to create him if Jesus is him? Last - why is the light considered good and the dark bad when the light came from the dark? God is dark - What was prior to the light when God said let there be light? The dark right? So why is the dark seen as somthing negitive?

The Ancient world saw Black as God. I am not talking about Europe - whichcraft, black death, black cats, etc... Before than. Like pre dynastic times. Black became somthing negative when religion was taken over by the west.

The light was not Jesus.| The darkness was on the face of the deep-Gen 1:2.
Gen 1:3 Then God said 'let there be light', and there was light. vs 4 And God saw the light, that it was [good]; and /God divided the light from the darkness/.

God made light, it didn't have to come from anything.

when the verse says that this heaven and earth will pass away like a scroll being rolled up, i wonder if that could be a reality in a kind of a vision, that has True properties.!
if God can take the heaven and the earth and turn it off, then the light of the world began its existence outside this mortal creation. like a matrix and a virtual reality where ALL of come to. From a place beyond everything known.
it is obvious that both lucifer and / or satan and jesus christ were morning stars, that were lights unto themselves. it is also predominate that the trees in the garden of evil are similitudes of Jesus and satan.
Darkness has always been the symbology of wickedness and evil. because the conspiracies that existed with lucifer and satan existed before Adam and Eve were resurrected from the earth.

Not sure what that light was (maybe he needed a surefire flashlight to see what he was doing).

The ancient Mayans believed in a place called Xibalba as the place where they went after they died.

This corresponds to the darkest patch in the sky, a small patch of extreme darkness in the Milky Way as seen from Earth.

The light existed while God prepared a life sustaining earth that would allow those he was preparing it for to live forever.
Situating the light was a major focus.
The earth would have a protective shiels around it and this took twices as much time.

Then again the adjustments of light had to be made for plant life and that took twice as much time to end at day four, ready for the water and spirit flesh creatures in day five.

don't try to find anything coherent in a book 1500 years old... It was writen by people who were considered wise only because they could write. I doubt they would be considered wiser than the average drunk beggar nowadays.

If you want a good book about the creation of the world, read "a short history of time" by stephen hawking

Genesis was written by idiots for idiots. There were no men of science around in those days, only deeply superstitious primitives who saw that it became light before sunrise and remained light after sunset but were too dumb to associate this twilight withe the sun.
