There is no hell. Im a Jehovah's Witness and we believe that hell is nothing more than 6 feet under. Christians say that God is merciful and loving, then why would he condemn you to torture for eternity for doing something that he even said we would do. We are born into sin, not one person alive has not sinned. Why would he punish you for something he knows you will do. It makes no sense. Plus, the bible is full of symbolism. The fire and brimstone is just to emphasize the impact of death. Once you are dead you are no more. Your spirit is remember by God and you return to the earth. We were created from dust, and dust we become at death.

Because the Bible says this:
Matthew 25:41
"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels."
Revelation 19:20
"And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshiped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone."
Revelation 21:8
"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
Matthew 13:41-43
41 "The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. "
This is just a FEW of the verses in the Bible that support the idea of a literal burning hell. There are many, many more.

Read Luke 16 in the Bible. It describes Hell. That is why we believe it is "fire and nasty"

Believers are already born again, meaning born of the Spirit. That is why, in John 3:3, Jesus says, "Most assuredly, unless one is born of the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God."
vs 6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, that which is born of the spirit is spirit
7 "Do not marvel that I said to you 'You must be born again'"
On the day of judgment we will be found worthy because of Jesus' righteousness, because we have been born of the spirit. Your spirit is unborn until you are "born again."
You are born of the flesh, and have a life to live on earth, and you have a soul. You don't have a spirit until it is born, Only God can do that, and He won't until you believe and trust in Jesus.
Until that happens your soul is destined for everlasting damnation.

Because the Bible doesnt say that... the Bible often reffers to Hell as firey torment. Should read what Jesus says about it (not only one verse) and how it is described in the book of Revelation

They will go to hell who are not born again. That means that if you don't accept Christ as your personnel Savior then you can't be born again. Hell is real and it is fire, and brimstone, and there is gnashing of teeth. There is torment for all eternity. God is giving everyone a chance to choose which way they will go. I would rather be in heaven with my family for all eternity than in hell pleading for a drink of water, and begging God for forgiveness for all eternity, that will never come after you die.

*sigh* This just goes to show how people love to criticize the Bible and Christianity using erroneous theories and ideas on what it is all about. Where are you getting your information? Try checking if that is what the Bible says.

The BIBLE describes HELL in many ways. Fire and brimstone is only one of them. HELL is not where a normal person will want to be. It will be a place for satan and his kind. I hope that you are reading and studying. In the END there will be a TEST!

Where in the Bible does it say that?
The New Testament mentions hell over two dozen times -- and often in very glowing detail.

Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
That's why.
