Why would you want to anyway? The Bible doesn't bother you if you don't believe then just live your life the way you want to and leave the Bible alone. However, if the Bible is bothering you, then why don't you try to believe in what it says. Can't hurt!

I'm going to, first of all, answer your question with another question. The Bible is considered by myself, and a large percentage of people around the world to be a Holy Book, God's word. I believe it to be the truth. You obviously do not. But do you truly think that your lack of belief in what others consider a holy book gives you license to be so disrespectful. I mean, do you REALLY?

Second of all there is plenty of proof that the bible is exactly what it claims to be. Are you aware that, surprisingly enough for most of you, science/exploration backs the bible up? How so?

a) Had Columbus read the Bible, he'd have seen that over 1000 years before his expedition, the prophet Isaiah at Isaiah 40:22 spoke of "one who is dwelling above the CIRCLE of the earth." How did Isaiah know this.

b) Also, at a time when mankind mostly believed that the earth rested on the shoulders of Atlas who was standing on a turtle that was standing on an elephant or something like that ... how could Moses know what he wrote at Job 26:7 that God "is hanging the earth upon nothing"?

c) the law that God gave Moses included rules for sanitation that are recognized to this day.

Now, having said all that, I'd really encourage you to find my own question about why Atheists feel a need to mock believers. It should give you some more food for thought.

Well, many people before you have gone on that very quest. They have read the bible from cover to end to prove it's wrong, only so often to be converted by it.

Basically, the idea is. You don't have to take my word for it, or in fact, anybody else's. You pick up the bible yourself and you read it, and apply it to our times and your own life.

It makes more sense than anything else I've read and the state of the world now, the bible describes these days perfectly. Even down the fact that there will come scoffers in the last days!

1. If you want to be respected for your ideas, you should present them in an intelligent and thoughtful way.
2. Be careful of how you communicate. Regret is a bad thing.
3. If you lean on your own understanding, you will not understand very much.
4. Think about who you really are.....
5, Regret is a bad thing.

Certainly. Any resemblance between the universe's creation, and the actual events as determined by scientific study, is completely coincidental. It is particularly easy to de-bunk the notion of the flood in Genesis, using any of half a dozen different scientific disciplines. See references for much more on this.

only to the person who thinks with their heads clear. but to christians, no. it is PRESUMED that the bible is infallable (to most this is true, however there are sects of christianity that do not believe this true, and in fact are on the edge of stating point blank that the bible is worthless! [1]) but if you open your eyes and really compare the books you'll find so many contradictions and EVIL! [2] the gospels (supposedly written by EYEWITNESSES) don't even agree on much![3]

It isnt full of crap... it is simply only one persons view of the entire series of events; Matthew, a former Roman Tax Collector.

Look up the Council of Nicea and exactly what they did to the rest of the 'Gospels' including three of the Apostles themselves.

Only one Apostles Gospel was used for the entire New Testament. Luke, Mark, and John were not the Apostles. Yes, the Gospel of John is actually of John of Patmos.... a drug abuser that died in 147 C.E. in an opium den in Patmos, a Turkish island.

No wonder he wrote revelations..... he was stoned.

So of course there is only one 'Word' left....
All the rest got burned, and the people following them were burned as well...... what better way to shut up your detractors..!!!

About a million, but all of your proof and arguements are wasted on people who will never see things clearly. They will come up with rationalizations that seem consistent to them. One guy answered one of my recent questions with "god made mutations in the gene pool as he went to keep inbreeding from becoming a problem with all of us being from only two people".This is by far,one of the more sensible ones I've heard.I think we are wasting time trying to get mentally ill people to see that they are all having a mass delusion...

Watch -The God Delusion- and -The Virus of Faith-

by Richard Dawkins...

He does a good job of disproving sections of the Old Testament....I was appalled by what some of the scriptures described.

2 Corinthians13 v 5-8 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves, how that Jesus Christ in you, except ye be reprobates?
But i trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.
Now i pray to God that you do no EVIL; not that we should appear
approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.
For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. who have ears to hear let them hear
