"Just recently my son Bobby came out to me. I had been worried for awhile. His teachers said most of his grades were slipping and he seemed depressed and withdrawn.

Bobby said he'd been hiding it for awhile because he was afraid I would reject him. I sat him down and told him that I loved him and that God loved him, but that his salvation was in danger if he did not resist his unnatural tempations. I told him how being gay would mean he would live a shorter life, and that if he couldnt change his orientation he could be celibate like most the ex-gays are. He started crying saying something along the lines of "I knew you wouldnt understand! You're just like everyone else!" before running to his room and slamming the door.

What did I do wrong? I dont want to lose my son, but I fear I already have. I talked it over with his therapist, who had the ludicrous idea that homosexuality was unchangable and that trying to repress could lead to lots of psychological damage (I've dropped him and will try to be finding another therapist with more moral beliefs). I wouldnt be surprised if he's the one who's feeding my son all the homosexual propaganda about how its 'ok' to be gay. That, or how homosexuality has engulfed the media, making it seem 'cool' and 'hip' and how they were just another oppressed minority. You didnt have to worry about seeing two men making out on tv at my age! I dont want to sound like a fanatic, but Im worried what other effects will come out of this increasingly secular, immoral society obsessed with filth.

Am I too late? Or is it possible to save my son

[Note: The thread this originally came from indicates that this boy eventually took his own life.]"

A girl I know is a wiccan, doesn't believe in demons or satan. Thinks magic is just from nature, etc. Wondering for those who had been and learned the truth, what did it for them? How did you finally realize it and what made you change?

I'm not looking for a controversy, I just want to know where the closest message to Jesus' orginial intentions is to be found. It's clearly not in Catholicism. I mean the original ideals. In my understanding, Christ did not beleive in giant cathedrals and ecclesiastical nonsense and complex corrupt church "government". It seems like most of "Christianity" has gotten away from his original ideals. So where is the simplest, purest message to be found? The unfiltered Jesus with the love and tolerance, minus all the doctrine and dogma and intolerance. Gnostics? Greek Orthodox? Tell me where to look.

I met a girl who does white magic, tarot cards etc. I know all of that to be satanic and stay away from it. I also know I'm protected by God and his angels, I have an army protecting me. This girl likes me, said she did tarot on me and was told to help me (release me from the binds of christianity, etc), also said she mapped me out or whatever its called and also putting beneficial spells on me. I'm wondering whats gonna happen to her, nothing she does can touch me. Anybody have experience on both sides?

is there some kind of spaghetti monster church that was formed just like the way satanism was? satanism is a religion that was formed ONLY because of the existence of christianity you know :) in other words, no chrisitanity, no satanism. so no God, no spaghetti flying monster? :o/.

We know Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness and what he said. God severely tested His son in at least 3 different significant ways. What are those 3 ways?

Serious question here. Have you ever seen something, ie... perhaps what one might call a ghost or had a feeling, good or bad that to this day you cannot exactly explain?

I myself have yet to experience anything as such but I do have an open mind to it.

Thanks

D.

Its been said there are two categories of suffering. Does the Bible explain what they are? One might be largely unnecessary because it is the result of problems we bring on ourselves.

My brother saw this dream that he was with my mom( Hayat-Alive)...and the angel of death was there and my mom asked my brother to recite LAHAB. my brother had never heard this word before so as soon as he woke up he started searching for LAHAB...and we found out Surah-e-Labah in the Quran.

What does Sura-e-Lahab have to do with angel of death...what is the tabeer of this dream. Can anyone interpret this for me? Only serious answers please.

They do not believe outside of what they have been taught and they are both willing to do ANTHING that their religon asks. Being fanatical is a personality trait and I belive that if those fanatical christians were born in afganistan they would be fanatical muslims and be first in life to suscide bomb. The same how I belive if a fanatical muslim was born in america he would be a fanatical christians and be standing on the street corners telling everyone they are going to hell. Anyone agree?

you are grown now, and love and fear god above all else. you are annointed and truly walk with god. You are a true believing christian. However you have not fully forgave your parents. You talk to them and are even nice. everything on the outside looks like your relationship is fine, but you still truly can not forgive them. WILL YOU BE ALOUD IN TO HEAVEN WITHOUT FORGIVING YOUR PARENTS, WHO DESTROYED YOUR CHILDHOOD. please answer intelligently.

I will be the first to admit that when I want to I can be very self rightous and I have had the attitude that I should be blessed for following Gods laws. Over the years life happened and I was put in very tough situaions I never thought possible I say this would never happen to me well guess what it did.

Instead of going to God properly and asking him what I caould learn from these hurts and disappointment I became very chilish and said I did not want to be a christain anymore and the only reaosn I went to church is my husband said I must be there and I could not wait for church to be "over with" so I could start the rest of my day. .

Now I am more mature and received grace and healing from the Lord and I thank God that he has not given me what i TRULY deserve, my question is how to I get the fire and the passion and the zeal to want to go to church and hunger for the Lord once again? I want to go forward not backwards thank youand God bless you.
