The jews say that the God of the Torah/OT is not a trinity. Muhammad was sent to bring the people back to the worship of God alone.

What do you think about this Christians?

How do you explain evidence of Glaciation in Israel during the Mid-Pleistocene era?
Why is there no mention of Glacial periods in the Bible.
Surely if the climate changed so radicaly that glaciers formed in Israel they'd be mentioned in the Bible, somewhere?

The actions and traces of glaciation are obvious and consistent worldwide and can be seen and studied today at current glaciation sites. They do not vary.

Could it be that the Geological time scale is correct and these Glaciers were in Israel about one million years ago?

I've asked this before and had no answers that made any sense. If it is over your heads then why are you trying to usurp logic and science?

Psalms 37 9-10 & 29 says: "For evildoers themselves will be cut off,
But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.
10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more;
And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be.
11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
29The righteous themselves will possess the earth,
And they will reside forever upon it."

It seems kind of strange that God would let people go to heaven and then return them to human life. But if the righteous are to dwell on the earth how do they get here? And who are they?

Ethical relativism is the belief that ethical decisions are dependent on the context of the event or dilemma. They deny that there is one answer that would be applicable in every circumstance.

Ethical absolutism is the belief that ethical decisions are drawn from a set of laws that are permanent and immutable. All ethical decisions can be solved first by looking at these laws and following their dictates with much less regard for the circumstances.

Feel free to explain how you reach this decision.

What does the Bible say about how we are created. What makes up a person. What is a soul? What is a spirit? What is the difference? Who/What can tell the difference and how?

Do you think the interests of a 3 day embryo are more important than curing a little girl with spinal-cord injury or a person with full body burns? Why prolong the scarcely endurable misery of tens of millions of human beings for an embryo? An embryo has 150 cells. There are 100,000 cells in the brain of a fly. I mean, every cell in your body given the right manipulation, every cell with a nucleus, has the potential for human life.

There are some differences with Christianity but the concept of kindness and compassion is the same isn't it?

my partner and I have been practising celibacy but I find myself starring at him in the most ravenous way. I am trying my best not to physically touch him and have tried to go to bed when he is fast asleep.
How can I banish impure thoughts? I'd be interested in hearing from others with a religious committment and in a dating relationship.
I have asked him to sleep in the spare room but he says that this is unnecessary and insists that we can still be physically close and not get up to anything.

Reason of Violation:Not a Question or Answer

The initial title of the 'question was' "The answer is "yes", atheists are right.?" However, the question embedded in the subject box was "If you disagree, prove there is a god."

I suppose it doesn't matter and I am actually glad yahoo leans on the side of error, but I think this "violation" was a little petty to report, especially considering how non-offensive it was.

For those open minded on both sides, thanks for the responses.

Seriously. Look in the Gospels. When an unbeliever came up to mock the Lord and the truth, the Lord Jesus Christ didn't bother with them. He exposed them as mockers and moved on, saying to shake the dust off your feet as a judgement against them.

Why can't Christians understand this?

I resently lost my brother a year ago...He was a funny character! Strange things start to happen like a song might come on that was his favorite, I would smell his cologne, I would smell Black N Mild, hear him say hey, see something and it disappear, or something falls, ya know, weird things...But for Christmas, we all gathered for dinner at my mother's house and in 3 pictures, an orb showed up...I also went to the site were he died at (he died in a car accident)and took a picture...In that picture also, you can see an orb with eyes and a smile...What is going on?
