He has already sent His Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
That should be all we need.

Wicca is new... Some other paths of Paganism are new as well. Modern religions are springing up everywhere, but as another person posted here, they are usually labelled Cults and then dismissed without even a look.
I guess that depends on how you expect God to speak and instruct. I think life itself is a pretty good instructor.

The Bahai Faith and Rastafari Movement can be considered new religions.
But, I believe most importantly for the first time people aren't afraid to discuss religion and go here and there to find the truth (Daniel 12:4). You can find a single book quoting Jesus from the Gospels, the non-Canonical texts, and the Qur'an. It's very extraordinary how people are learning to compromise. With that, different perspectives on these older religions are being considered; Messianic Jews, modern Ebionites, and Jews, Christians and Muslims preaching Judeo-Chirsto-Islamic fellowship, et cetera.

If you look at the Bible, most of what was written is written in story form to teach a lesson. Back in the days when the Bible was written, there was a hierachy of power in which the Church had power over the commoners. They added and deleted actual events to work with their agendas, so it is dubious that God was actually having all powerful conversations with people. Try reading "The Life of Jesus" by Sylvia Browne for further explanations in this matter.
On the other hand, if you listen to your heart and your conscience, that's about as close to God speaking to you now. If you look at the positives within the world, it is God giving instructions. That positive, heart-warming feeling you get when you do good is God speaking to you now.

Terrorism is our decade's latest religion. To kill all who dont believe, to even kill people of the same faith if there are of a different lineage or sect, to kill people who DO believe... if they get more popular than your group, to instill hatred in less afluent countries towards more afluent countries, to use the countries resources under the disguise of doing "god's" work by invading their lands causing pain and suffering, to send OTHER PEOPLE'S children to do the killing while keep one's own safely tucked away somewhere... etc etc
Just pick a few of these traits and then claim that its a NEW revelation from God, and ANYONE can create a new religion in this present age.

You are absolutely on the right track! He DOES speak to us and let us know instructions now in our day - through modern prophets. Gordon B Hinckley, President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is his current voice. President Hinckley is constanting receiving revelation concerning us, the church, and the Lord's will.
It would make no sense and God would not be loving if he left us alone to figure things out for ourselves because we couldn't!
If you want to know more, ask me. Or, go to mormon.org, LDS.org or speak with some LDS missionaries. The fulness of the gospel can bless your life here and in the eternities in more ways than you ever thought possible!

New religions? I think Science is probably the newest religion to come around; although, if you really look up the definition, there are new "religions" all the time. Dogma has a way of making religion out of nothing.
I think that God speaks - but our ears have been deafened to the noise of our own voices rather than God's. Just my opinion...

We do. Scientology is a recent invention, being invented in the 1960's. And God doesnt speak to anyone because he isnt real. They are all stories made up by cave dwellers to explain the unexplainable.

God speaks and instructs every day through his word, the Bible. It is living and active, yet spiritual things are spiritually discerned. Only those who surrender to God through the shed blood of Jesus Christ receive the Spirit of God and the ability to discern the things of God.
When I read the Bible, the Spirit of God speaks to me and teaches me in the ways of God. I can read the same passage of Scripture over and over and each time learn something new.
If you really want to know what I'm talking about, ask God to reveal himself to you. He promises to respond to your sincere request.
Blessings.
