but it appears to say nothing about masturbation, yet many church groups forbid it. However, is it really possible to refrain from masturbation. EVERYONE that I know does it.

I mean, it seems that in Europe church states imposing a specific brand of religion failed to please the masses, and they turned their backs on it.
Or, another reason --- aside from "reason" and all of that.

Scholars are finding more and more inconsistancies with the Hadith and Koran and have found connections with the God of Islam and the Arabian pagan Moon God.

If you have more information please let me know.

Please note I will not go to a pro-Islam website since they are very biased and I want as an unbiased database as I can get.

If there's a spiritual vacuum and you've got impressionable kids looking for something to believe in, they may fall for anything, right or wrong?

As just one example, why do you people run around erecting crosses everywhere?

I don't have a problem with you putting them up in your churches or even your cemetaries, but why all the public display?

Your religion is no "better" than any other, and by subjecting everyone else to your beliefs, you are just proclaiming your superiority.

It is no different than the Nazis slapping swasticas on everything.

As a matter of fact, Hitler claimed to be one of you (look it up).

Christian and Bibically Speaking.... Also can this also refer to giving your offering a church that is should be done in secret with no other man knowing what you give?? A Friend of mine says this is not referring to giving to the poor what does this mean then? She is going to explain later tonight when we talk but I am going nuts wondering about what it means

Matthew 6:1-4 (King James Version)

1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

Thanks

I'm a priest (just kidding)... I'm told by popular mega church minister in confession and confidence, for pray and release of guilt, that she had an intimate moment with a boy at 17 when she was 29. She is now 43 and since ask God for forgivessness. The relationship never went forward and now forgotten. As a priest, she confided in me for prayer. Do I report her to the state (I took a oath before God to preserve confidence at let him handle it) or report to God and never say a word ( I have a civil duty to report any activity such as this)? What should I do?

Just wondering, because according to History, the only reason why Born agains, Methodists, Baptists, ie Protestants exist is because King Henry the 8th was not allowed to divorce one of his wives (this was before he decided beheading them was easier), so he went and started the church of England, which eventually broke off into all the other branches of Religion. So why do people in those religions call themselves True Christians?

When evolution produces the same results. Brother Mike was more fit than brother Tom, so he was able to sleep with Sister Lucy and have a child. It is a common ancestor either way.

About the month of Ramadan and having no sex between sunrise and sunset, does this apply to only married people or all people in Islamic religion? I know someone there who is unmarried, thinks about sex, watches porn movies....but still believes they cannot talk to a person online that they claim to love who lives in another country during the whole month of Ramadan. This makes no sense to me!

For exp: Look at Gen 2:13. "In the original KJV it says:

And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia"

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=genisis%202:13;&version=9;

In the New International Version it says:
The name of the second river is the Gihon; it winds through the entire land of Cush. [a]

Footnotes:

1. Genesis 2:13 Possibly southeast Mesopotamia

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=genisis%202:13&version=31

In the later bible it has taken Ethopia/Cush out of Africa and moved it somewhere else. Sounds like straight racism to me. Seems like they want us to think Blacks had nothing to do with anything!

This seems ridiculous to me. They also get "non-profit" pricing from many manufacturers, etc. But the fact is, churches are not "non profit". They are nothing BUT profit, and it seems like, in this day and age, it's a ridiculous concession to make to them.

Have any politicians made a point to change this? (I'll bet most of them would be afraid to touch it. Church boycotts run this country, for the most part...)

By the by: I'm not "Captain Atheism". There was nothing in this question that is offensive or violates the "terms or use". It was censored for no reason, so it deserves to be asked again.

Jehovah Witnessess believe that the end began in 1914 and that by the time everyone who was born in that year have died that the end of the world will take place.
This means that we only have at the most 10 years before the end of the world. Is this true?

Hey, we've got the technology. Cameras and streaming video for the visual, microphones and speakers for hearing the word and congregational singing, we don't need the other senses. Teleconferencing software, virtual libraries for biblical and theological materials, everything is covered.
