As just one example, why do you people run around erecting crosses everywhere?

I don't have a problem with you putting them up in your churches or even your cemetaries, but why all the public display?

Your religion is no "better" than any other, and by subjecting everyone else to your beliefs, you are just proclaiming your superiority.

It is no different than the Nazis slapping swasticas on everything.

As a matter of fact, Hitler claimed to be one of you (look it up).

I dont think I'm better than anyone... in fact I KNOW I am not better than anyone. I've never even heard a Christian say "i'm better than you" other than the nasty violent people who just grab the title to try to justify their hate.

There is nothing offensive about a cross, nor is there anything offensive about the Star of David or even a Pentagram but people do sometimes use them offensively. When Hitler put swasticas everywhere it was in hate, he could have used a Mickey Mouse symbol if he wanted to, it was the hate behind it that made it bad. Christians dont believe Hitler was a Christian so you dont shock anyone with "look it up" people make all kinds of claims but claiming it doesnt make it true.

True Christians (literally "little Christs") do not think they are better than anyone else. In fact, we are all equal at the foot of the cross. Symbols are used to remind us of things that we think are important to remember. The cross actually reminds us that we are nothing in and of ourselves--that all of our good deeds done out of our sinful flesh are like "filthy rags" compared to the holiness of God.

I personally don't care if we have crosses on public land. I do object to the idea that the constitution prohibits such displays since those who wrote the Constitution posted crosses, Scripture, and the Ten Commandments in many public places and opened every session with prayer. Stripping public life of all signs and symbols of religion obviously wasn't their intent when they wrote the Constitution.

Some people fight for such displays because they see the religion of secularism or atheism as trying to push out all other religions. I agree that those systems of belief certainly don't deserve to rule above all others. I don't object to symbols of other religions being posted alongside those that represent Christianity. Perhaps Atheists need to design their own symbols to post beside the cross and the Nativity Scene.

We dones beleive that we are better than everyone else. ???
The Cross is a symbol of Jesus conquering death. We are told by Jesus to take up our cross and follow Him. To put the old lifesytle to death and begin to follow him.

You can't place the cross and swasticas in the same bucket. The cross reminds us to live our lives for Him. The Swastica was a movement that promoted geneacide.

You claiming that every christian thinks their better than everyone else, is no more true than if I said every non believer thinks their better than everyone else. Some people erect crosses others erect other things. Take it up with your local gov. and be glad you live in a free country(if you do) because such complaining in Germany about the swastica, would have gotten you killed.

True Christians do not. (Philippians 2:3)

I have no knowledge of Christians "erecting crosses evcerywhere." That would be an act of idolatry, and contrary to Christianity.

We do not subject anyone to our beliefs. We do offer to help them learn the Bible so they can make an informed decision for themselves what they want to do. (Joshua 24:15; Matthew 28:19, 20)

Hitler could make any claim he wanted. (2 Corinthians 11:14, 15)

One must be careful not to confuse apostate Christianity with true Christianity; they are quite different.

I think it would be beneficial for you to remember that not all Christians are fanatics. Christians sometimes (especially new Christians) become so excited about what they know that they want everyone to have what they have. So as a result they can get a bit carried away.
If Hitler claimed to be a llama would that have made him one? Just because someone claims to be something does not automatically make him one.

Did it ever occur to you that all Christians don't erect crosses? Did it cross your mind that maybe only a select few might practice that? Also, I don't claim to be superior to anyone, and neither do alot of other Christians I know.

And the Nazi swastika comparison was grossly inaccurate, not to mention uncalled for.

Hitler did CLAIM to be a Christian, but do you really think that everyone who claims the Name of Jesus is really a Christian? I think not. And the Bible says the same thing.
First of all: I am a believer in Jesus Christ, and I can assure you that I do not think I am better that anyone. I am better-off than those who don't believe, but certainly not better. My Lord paid the price for my sins. An unbelievable act of kindness and mercy. I deserve hell for the sins that I have committed, but in His great compassion God lowered Himself to our level and took my punishment - therefore setting me free to know Him and serve Him well all the days of my life.

The cross is a wonderful reminder of what God did for you and me. The swastika is a terrible reminder of what that very deceived man did to God's people. He took many to hell with him (all his followers), and for that he will probably be receiving the most torment imaginable for all his days. Hitler chose to believe that our wonderful God who created all things wanted him to kill masses of innocent people. God is the judge and the jury.

I am concerned for you. Don't you ever put that swastika next to the cross of our Lord and think they are similar. You need to think about all this and realize that Jesus is real - not a religion. We will all stand before God in judgment. Believers will be judged for their works and unbelievers will be judged for their sins. I would not try standing before God without Christ.

I honestly don't think they are trying to act superior.

From what my sister tells me when you truly believe in the bible it is your responsibility to save everyone else. (Whether or not you want them to or not)

I would try not to take it so personally I don't believe they mean any harm by putting up crosses. If you are a not a Christian then look at crosses like "t"s instead :)

Stop picking on the Christians. They feel the way they do because they have been told that God is a judgmental punishing Jerk. Just because they have been mislead into believing this nonsense is no reason to be making fun of them. Remember most of them were told this as little children when they were to young to be able to look at this from a logical basis and see it for the nonsense that it is.

We need to do what we can to make them realize that God loves each and every one of us or we would not be here.

You can’t help them by being nasty and making fun of what they believe in. The best we can do is try to lead them to the truth by example. If they see us responding lovingly to situations where they have been trained to attack or be defensive, hopefully they will notice and start to understand the True meaning of the message Jesus left for us.

Rather than the judgmental message their religion teaches.

We need to remember what Jesus said. Judge not, love our enemies, Turn the other cheek, and love our neighbors as our selves. Remember Christians are our neighbors too. We need to love them as Brother Jesus asks us to do.

Love and blessings Don
