I've already presented this question once before but now I'm asking once again just to see what others think. I, personally, believe that it would be better for a child to be sent straight back to God rather than have to be born into a (this is just an example, mind you) family with irresponsible, uneducated, and possibly neglectful parents that never wanted the baby in the first place. But now wait a minute! What if the second coming or some great man was aborted?! I quote from an answer I saw a few days ago from a pro-choice Christian; "Well, I simply refuse to believe that God would send us a great man knowing full well that he would never be born. God knows everything that is, everything that was, and everything that will be, NOTHING can catch him by surprise." Now, of course, I'm not saying any of this is God's word or anything, but simply my opinion and view on this subject. Thoughts?

As a catholic growing up in Nigeria, i am always confused when the pastors changes from my native language which is Igbo to Latin. Only few people would understand what he was saying and would reply back to him. I thought it to be a waste of time for a pastor to use a language that only few people in the church would understand. Imagine a church service with 1500 people. Only 250 people would response back to the pastor in Latin and the rest are silent. I don't know why the current pope is trying to bring back the Latin mass which is outrageous .Shouldn’t church service be in a language were people can understand it like English or in native language like Igbo , Spanish etc. By making Latin official would draw many people away from the church and maybe another reformation would take place again.

What's the big deal? Maybe we are wrong and will go to hell in the end. But why don't you let God judge that? If you see us as enemies, why don't you do as your prophet says and "love your enemies"?

I am aware that there are Christian hating Moslem extremists around and I am as pissed at them as I am to Moslem haters. Just so you know.

I was thinking in the shower, and it occurred to me that modern Science is based on two accepted gives: 1) That careful observation can in all cases lead to knowledge, 2) that the observations we make today would produce the same results under the same conditions at all times and in all places. Basically the rules of nature don't change with time or place.

Then I realized religion has several contrary givens 1) That most of Creation is unobservable because it is invisible, 2) THat the rules the world is run by can change suddenly and drastically. An example is that certain animals became other animals when the Temple was destroyed, and even certain plants became animals. And the Satmer Rav says the sky changed color, and the old color doesn't exist anymore.

Given that the two have totally seperate givens on the nature of reality, I thought that they can have no logical arguement or reconciliation with each other since they have no common ground. Is this logical of me?

Some concepts of God are worth noting because they do capture some of the truth.
» Egyptian. Toth created everything from sound. When God spoke and things were created, He was using electromagnetic sound waves. The basis of all atoms is electromagnetic waves, like sound waves.
» Norse. Balder, the god who died and had to be freed from Hel. He was murdered by the instigation of Loki. After the last battle at Ragnarok, he will rule. Christ was the God, who died and had to be rescued from Sheol. He was murdered by Satan who instigated the crowd. He will rule in the new earth after Armageddon, the last battle.
Trinity. Many religions have the concept of a manifestation of one god in separate entities. They conceive of this concept as either linear or simultaneous. The manifestations occur singly, in order, at separate times in any place. Or they coexist at the same time in different places.
» Christianity. Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The three who are one named YHWH.

God has said in the Quran:

Those who have disbelieved and died in disbelief, the earth full of gold would not be accepted from any of them if one offered it as a ransom. They will have a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers. (Quran, 3:91)

So, this life is our only chance to win Paradise and to escape from Hellfire, because if someone dies in disbelief, he will not have another chance to come back to this world to believe. As God has said in the Quran about what is going to happen for the unbelievers on the Day of Judgment:

If you could but see when they are set before the Fire (Hell) and say, “Would that we might return (to the world)! Then we would not reject the verses of our Lord, but we would be of the believers!” (Quran, 6:27).

I am here just to remind you...

Respect for the Chastity of Women

The third important thing that we find in the Charter of Human Rights granted by Islam is that a woman's chastity has to be respected and protected under all circumstances, whether she belongs to our own nation or to the nation of an enemy, whether we find her in the wild forest or in a conquered city; whether she is our co-religionist or belongs to some other religion or has no religion at all. A Muslim cannot outrage her under any circumstances. All promiscuous relationship has been forbidden to him, irrespective of the status or position
of the woman, whether the woman is a willing or an unwilling partner to the act. The words of the Holy Quran in this respect are: "Do not approach (the bounds of) adultery" (17:32).

Then, about two months ago, i was watching Crossfire. The topic was If Islam means peace, and the guests were Jerry Falwell (yes, i thought it was a humorous choice too) and an Islamic community organization representative (I dont remember his name or what organization he was from). Jerry Falwell was arguing, rather clumsily, that Islam is not tolerant. He provided an example of the fact that he isn't allowed to pass out bibles or preach the gospel in Saudia Arabia . The Islamic community leader, who appeared to be a Western convert with an American accent, rebutted Falwell by providing inflated percentages of the numbers of Christians in several Islamic countries, as if numbers had anything to do with how these minorities are treated in these countries. I was deeply disturbed by this. What power does Islam have that even someone from the West, with Western sensibilities, would deliberately mislead the public about suffering that goes on in these countries? If Islam truly means p

How is the body preserved for hours? Even with being embalmed, a body cannot last for that long (lying in state as well as during the processional). Take for instance Regan, he traveled from DC to CA over the course of days in addition to lying in state. Some have said that there really isn’t a body in the coffin. Is there any information regarding this?

Do you believe God favors America?

Im a christian, though a curious one seen as I have a strong influence from the magical side of things aswell. As a matter of fact, Im unable to detach both these vital aspects of my spiritual journey & experience which has caused some uncertainty about my (religion).. If I lose either, things dont balance. So first question, what does that make me?

My second question is this. For some years now I've been in situations where I've been subjected to bad company. Being forced to trust my instincts I discovered the principles of psychic attack & protection. Prayer alone was'nt enough to deal with the negative influences & bad wishes for my life. So taking some time in those situations to deal with their psychic assaults brought the freedom I needed.

Now Im finding that I need to keep myself even more protected as Im finding the (bad wishes) & obvious attacks more intense..I think I need to learn some more..Can anyone recommend reading or something I can do? Many thanks.
