Some concepts of God are worth noting because they do capture some of the truth.

Trinity. Many religions have the concept of a manifestation of one god in separate entities. They conceive of this concept as either linear or simultaneous. The manifestations occur singly, in order, at separate times in any place. Or they coexist at the same time in different places.

They all have an element and concept of the truth. Christ (God) died for our redemption. He was NEVER under the power of Satan, it was God who created Satan as an Archangel with free will. He descended into that part of Hell we call Limbo, and unlocked the gates for those who had died before Him so that they could enter Heaven.I don't believe he had to be rescued from there, as he is omnipotent. The concept of the Trinity is really a mystery. There are no other gods but it is amazing how the concept is still there.

All concepts of God are worth noting. All the core beliefs of God as a force, a creator, and redeemer are the same, far more the you listed here. Most people know this.

To the person above me where do you think theological thought came from. That it began and ended with Christology? It means it is an opportunity to understand and grow not only in your concept of the world, but studying theology and the reasons behind cultural mythology helps you grow and understand your own religious beliefs.

This is all childish rubbish believed by people who had no concept of how the earth was really formed and encouraged in their deluded beliefs by the same sort of con men and crooks who now rule the world, all these stories were created to keep the priviliged few in power and to explain why this should be so and I am afraid that anyone in this day and age believes any of this trash is as deluded and needs medical help as those who first thought of such rot.

OK, honestly I'm not going to read all that. Not because I'm too lazy too, but because you used God and truth in the same sentence. And I believe in God, but the problem lays with who really knows the truth of what God is. So it's futile to assume that any of these God figures are somewhat the truth.

You could say, however, that if there is a God I hope that God has some of these qualities and traits.

All concepts of god have validity. And if you look deep enough all religions have the same underpinnings--love each other and be nice. On top of that are a lot of dumb man-made rules which result in people hating and being mean. That's the real irony.

I always think of the trinity a little differently. I think that we as individuals are a combination of God (the energy that powers this existence), the human body (would figure as the son) and our own Soul or spirit. This is the combination that makes this existence possible and this is what I think was meant my the holy trinity. It's all very interesting, isn't it?

Peace!

Throughout history people have created every conceivable (and a few inconceivable) mythologies for god. Your right that it is interesting but I'm not sure how these capture some of the truth?

Could you explain your question?

I already knew a lot of these but it just shows how "new" religions "borrow" heavily from the "old" religions. Heck, there is even evidence that YHWH was a sky God to a pantheon and originally had a wife.

All religions have a similar foundation. Its what men have overlaid on top of these similarities that is causing all of the problems.
