Of course they do. A person's beliefs and philosophies are their comfort and a way of explaining things and rationalising what happens in the world. Everyone has beliefs it's just some like to put them about more than others. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and it a shame many are persecuted for what they believe - there are no right or wrong answers.
People can be very narrow minded and refuse to move out of their comfort zone to entertain the idea that their firmly set belief or faith may not be true. I guess all that can be done is accept that all these different views exist and while we may want to convert some to our way of thinking, realise that in the end it is the individuals choice and we can't force them into anything

People want to feel secure, our faith, beliefs or philosophies help us to to feel secure. In order to feel secure in a diverse world full of options about what to believe we choose to believe that our beliefs are the best because it would be logical to change our beliefs if they were not the best, so that we may feel even more secure. However, most of us are not up to the challenge of changing our beliefs, it is easier to claim we already possess the best faith, beliefs or philosophies.
The problem is that when we choose to believe our own beliefs are best, and we encounter any doubts, we continue to make the same choice to believe our beliefs are best, and in order to convince ourselves that our beliefs really are best we go around telling other people that our beliefs are the best.
So when we see someone who tells us that their faith or beliefs are the best then we should understand that a person like that has serious doubts about their beliefs and are compensating for their insecurity by trying to convince themselves their beliefs are best through a process of trying to convince others.
There are no beliefs which are better than any other beliefs.
Except mine of course! LOL!

There area as many paths to the Source as there are People of Desire seeking Reintegration with the Light. Different Strokes for Different Folks. The problem is that many people don't realize this and, under the guise of some misguided Altruism, try to force their own belief system on others.

Well I don't know that they all think they are the best. I am Wiccan and I don't feel that Wicca is the best path there is, but I do think it is the best path for me. I also think all paths are valid as long as they harm none. I know I wouldn't like everyone to follow the same path as me for that takes away from it in my opinion.

Right - that suggests that no one of them fully grasps the problems, doesn't it. Perhaps that's as much as we can truly say for now - that we apparently don't have the answers, because if we did, we should be able to convince any other thinking person by the same things that convinced us.
Knowing that DONT know is an important first step.

"All" do not think their way is the best. Wiccans and Pagans believe their way is the best FOR THEM. Buddhists as well. Only religions that force their beliefs on others think their way is the best. That is not "all", only a very noisy, pushy handful.

And they are all correct, when they add the words "for me". Each of us should be allowed to choose which path or faith or philosophy works best for them, providing we have respect and tolerance enough to allow others to believe as they wish. There are many paths to enlightenment - as diverse as humanity itself. Marvellous!
Peace!

Those who were convinced/convicted or brainwashed will tell you that their way is the best. Those who make money, profit or otherwise get someTHING will tell you their way is best. Those who give, share or serve show which is best. For yourself, you have to decide which is best. Those that are the worst kill those who don't believe their's is best.
