I mean, the arguement for CHRISTmas being a pagan holiday is a little thin already. (spare me your pagan christmas arguements I know them all well).

But I just read an answer that claimed Easter is a pagan holiday. This is a new one for me. Where is the rational for this? Surely you understand you can't use the "date changed" arguement. Good Friday is a well recorded date.

I haven't been really walking with God, and I claim to be a Christian. I am still doing the same sins (worry, lust, adultery (looking at a woman lustfully),murder (anger)). The lust especially is addictive. In James it says "faith without works is dead". Say that I make a commitment right now to stop doing these sins and be serious this time about it. Will God pardon me? I know in Hebrews it says "if we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God".

On the one hand:
Titus 1:2
In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began.

Hebrews 6:18
It was impossible for God to lie.

But on the other;
Ezekiel 14:9
And if a prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the Lord have deceived that prophet.

2 Thessalonians 2:11
For this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.

I'm confused. Which passage(s) is correct?

It's not that I don't believe in God, it's that I have had no reason in my life influence my decision. I know deep down that there could be something greater than this life, but the fact that I cannot reason in my head as to what it may be, I have become bitter against it. I'm not looking for faith or for anything that needs tithing or sacrifices, I'm looking for something to tell me if there is or is not a God. No, looking at a tree or a flower will not prove God's existence, and reading the Bible is okay if I wanted to die of boredom and hypocrisy. What can I do? Who do I turn to?

I'm wondering because in Iraq they are near civil war and it's because of these two different Islamics parties, I understand one is more radical than the other and they each fear that if the other is in power they will be targeted. But what is the cause behind this?

Some people believe we are divine and made in Gods image, so I want peoples opinion on this and give me an agrument why this is the way you believe it, heres my answer and agrument (not very good though) I think we are just animals, there are to much evidence that goes with evelution, billions of year old fossils, unnessisary body parts. So I believe Natural selection. And why we are smarter than most animals is because we don't have alot to protect ourselves, We aren't fast runners, we don't have fur, We don't have claws to protect ourselves, so we needed brains to keep us alive. There is just to many facts on evelution, If creationism is true then God must be a pretty good prankster.

It seems to me that "hater" and "hate" are either losing meaning or shifting in meaning.

The dictionary says a "Hater" is "One who hates." And "Hate" is defined as "to dislike intensely or passionately; feel extreme aversion for or extreme hostility toward; detest."

Yet on the Y!A Religion & Spirituality forum, it's often used to describe simple disagreement.

Does the word describe an intellectual disagreement now? Or does it still imply that someone has extreme hostility toward a person or an idea?

Spiritualism has been with us, since the dawn of age. Well before any religion. I would even go has far as saying, that most religions are started from Spiritualism.. Wise words from the spirit world.
1 the fatherhood of god
2 the brotherhood of man
3 the ministry of angels
4 reward or retribution for good or evil deeds
5 the continual development of the human soul
6 personal responsibility
7 the continual existence of the human soul......
Are the beliefs.....
So, is Spiritualism the way forward??

You know, telling people about Catholicism is like talking to a whole bunch of Seventh Day Adventists, everything is wrong and unreasonable, no matter how reasonable it is...
