Churches pay taxes just like any other non-profit corporation. They pay property tax on the property they own. They pay sales tax on things they buy. They simply do not pay income tax because they have no net income. Net income is profit. In a for profit corporation, the net income is payed out to share holders or the owners of the company. In a non-profit corporation, none of the owners or share holders get payed. All the money goes back into the business. Churches are just like PBS TV or the American Cancer Society or any other non-profit corporation.

Churches are tax exempt corporations. They do have to file returns with the IRS and they do have to conform to strict rules, or they loose their tax exemption. they also must file paperwork with the state that they are incorporated in. The church cannot demand 10% from its members---tithing is Biblical, but not a government requirement. Tithes are tax deductible because they are made to a tax exempt charity. Please clean up your grammar and spelling. Thank you and God bless you.

You better start wondering why they keep pushing those "free"
credit reports. It's a sting operation to track down people that
owe.
Just like they phoney War on Drugs. They're trying to get
something on everybody. So they can hold getting locked up over
our heads, and we will do what we're TOLD!
