Freedom of speech must include freedom for anti-religious speech. There is no Freedom OF Religion without the possibility of Freedom FROM Religion.

I doubt your questions were censored for not being "pro-religion", it's more likely that they were censored due to slurs, harasment, foul language etc. Many questions from all sides on Yahoo are thinnly vieled attacks and are often out and out "mud throwing". I suggest you review the content of your questions for where you might have vented your ire in an abusive manner.

People tend to use their freedoms without ever thinking about their responsiblities. So yes you should be free to express a viewpoint or ask a question, but you have the responsibilty to do so in an acceptable manner. Many people on all sides ffind name calling, slurs, etc to be offensive reguardless of the side that it's applied to.

No you don't get censored for not being religious! You get censored for being a jerk to those of us that are. We should have freedom from people that are just plain mean spirited to us. We have rights just the same as you do, and when you mis-behave, we have the right to use the abuse flag and we will. You can state your case with out being vindictive or evil.
"To Apple",and all of you, all religions are cults as defined by the Websters dictionary, not just Mormons.

freedom from religion is not the same thing as freedom of religion.

Yes, we should have freedom from religion.

We do have freedom of speech. You could create your own web site and then you could say whatever you want. In the mean time, Yahoo! has a right to sensor you.

Yes, religion should be censored, and you really don't have any freedom of speech.

Freedom from religion has been tried in many places in the world, all with disastrous results. Why would you want that here?

Freedom of religion also includes the right to be an atheist or agnostic. Freedom FROM religion denies those who wish to practice the ability to do so. So tell me, which is the greater imposition on one's rights?

I am a Christian and i believe that there should be a freedom of religion. I feel that all religions are fundamentally the same. we all seek to make our god happy. The biggest differences is the details. The four main religions Christianity, Catholicism, Judaism, and the Islamic faith, I would say, started out the same but the people chose to believe different things. To my knowledge the Muslim believed that Abraham killed his other son, Judaism did not believe that Jesus was the Messiah. I believe, since we all prey to the same god and as long as we do whatever god asks us to do, we should be alright when the time comes.

Freedom of speech is a governmental issue not a private issue.
This is a private website.
They can ban whatever they choose in their message boards. If they do not like the word " banana" they can have it stricken and it will not damage for "Freedom of speech' in the least.
Congress banning the same word would.
Capeesh?

As for freedom FROM religion, I feel that everyone else's personal relationship with their deity of choice end at my front door, my work space and with my tax dollars. Forcing your religion unto any of those, or me forcing mine unto yours violates freedom of and FROM religion.

Do you have a brain and an ability to make a decision? Then you have freedom FROM religion if you want it.

But you don't have the freedom to shut someone else up.

Your questions are probably being censored because you are probably one of the people posting hateful and insulting messages regarding religion. You can speak your mind against religion or anything else here...nobody is stopping you from doing that. Just do it in a grown up, polite and respectful manner.
