Absolutely! Both believing and non believing scientists and scholars have over, and over again, produced archaeological evidence, and verification of such evidence, that proves the Bible's accuracy and reliability. One of many examples is the issue of the Hittites (a powerful people who lived during the time of Abraham). For many years, their existence was in question because of lack of any archeological evidence. Critics claimed the Hittites were but a myth. But today, those critics have been silenced because abundant archeological evidence for the existence of the Hittites during the time of Abraham has been uncovered. This is just one of many examples. A well known scholar, William F. Albright, wrote: "Discovery after discovery has established the accuracy of innumerable details, and has brought increased recognition of the value of the Bible as a source of history." Coming at it from the other direction, Nelson Glueck, a specialist in ancient literature, did an exhaustive study and concluded: "It can be said categorically that no archaeological discovery has ever controverted a biblical reference." Archaeological support for history as presented in the Bible is abundant.

Mesoamerica is popular by using maximum through fact the right place for many folk of the e book of Mormon. The names recorded interior the e book of Mormon for the somewhat some locations are the names that have been used 1600 years in the past by using one phase of the inhabitants. whilst the Lamanites conquered the Nephite cities, they possibly noted as them something diverse. we do not be attentive to what their new names have been, yet we do be attentive to from archeology that there have been quite a few languages spoken interior the section, and the region names have been dependant on the language. upload to this the destruction of hundreds of Mayan historic information by using the conquistadors (purely 2 or 3 books proceed to be) and technological awareness is left with a daunting job. we do not be attentive to what maximum cities have been noted as for the duration of the Spanish conquest, not to point one thousand years in the previous by using a now extinct human beings. this does not mean that their are not good applicants for the better cities. The unique descriptions interior the e book of Mormon do discover achieveable applicants between the classic cities of the Maya, and the geography additionally suits.

A human body is complex, with all it's different parts, wires, motors and whats not. The Brain alone is astounding, we only use 25% of it and is still able to create something our ancestors would never believe even if they saw it. The air plane. Wow, what a mind.

But one thing remains true if by chance you were able to take a breathing human body apart and put it back together with in 10 seconds you would be missing one thing. Spirit.

Now were did that go? Did you misplace it? No, it went to the afterlife. No matter how fast and quick you were able to do this Life/Spirit would of long left. Emotions, passion, love, heart, art, style, talent, hope.

All of this is made up to be spirit. God Bless. Love. Amen. "Blank" does not exist. Nothing does not exist because within nothing there is something. Close you eyes what do you see? Black/darkness, okay beyond that.

No. Real archeology conflicts with bile - oops, bible - myth:

1. The jews were never in Egypt.

2. The jewish "12 kingdoms that existed 3500 years ago" were actually 12 villages that existed 2500 years ago.

3. The buybull - oops, bible - is ridden with errors of location and distance.

4. Nazareth is less than 1800 years old, ie. it did not exist at the time the babble - oops, bible - was compiled into a book from various Mediterranean and Middle Eastern myths like Mithras.

5. The "jeebus" character is not mentioned by *any* major writer from 2000 years ago whose works still exist (eg. Pliny the Elder).

If archeological evidence "proves" that deities exist, then Zeus and Apollo exist but the "god" of the blahblah - oops, bible - doesn't because Troy has been found, Greece exists, as does the "entrance to Hades", also known as the Strait of Gibraltar, among many other locations mentioned in the Iliad and the Odyssey.

the country of Isreal. Since the existance of this country people have tried to destory these people. study histroy. God's hand seems to be upon them.

Sir William Ramsay. He was an atheist, the son of atheists; he was wealthy and a Ph.D. from Oxford. He gave his whole life over to archaeology and determined that he would disprove the Bible. He set out for the Holy Land and decided to disprove the Book of Acts. After twenty-five or more years (he had released book after book during this time), he was incredibly impressed by the accuracy of Luke in his writings and finally declared that Luke was exact, down to the most minute details.

Years ago some atheists started out to prove the Bible not true through archeology. The found so much evidence that proved it right they are now believers and publish The Biblical Archaeological Review.

Only for the most trivial details of mundane life, not for any of the grandiose narrative or any supernatural claims. Their is NO evidence for the Exodus nor for the 40 years wandering in the desert, for example. And archaeology contradicts quite a bit. In Joshua, the walls of a certain city fall down, but Jericho was not a walled city. It also says they took the city of Ai, but Ai had been uninhabited for a thousand years by that time.

I am a Christian and have always had a hard time with archaeology and the Bible. But the more I look at scientific "proof" for evolution the more I am reassured that God's Word is the Truth. I think evolution is a man-made construct scrambling to eject God from His creation. Romans 1:18 says, "The wrath of God is being revealed from Heaven against all the wickedness and godlessness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness. Since what is known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--His eternl power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, SO THAT MEN ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE." (emphasis mine) I really believe you can see the truth of God's word all around in the world.

Dear Mr. Fasttrack:
The answer is 'YES'!
The noted American archaeologist W. F. Albright wrote:
“Archeological data have demonstrated the substantial originality of the Books of Jeremiah and Ezekiel, Ezra and Nehemiah, beyond doubt; they have confirmed the traditional picture of events, as well as their order.”
'The Bible After Twenty Years of Archeology' p. 547.

In his book The Archaeology of the New Testament, first published in 1970, E. M. Blaiklock writes:
“Striking vindications of biblical historiography have taught historians to respect the authority of both Old Testament and New, and to admire the accuracy, the deep concern for truth, and the inspired historical insight of the varied writers who gave the Bible its books of history.”

There is a growing body of archaelogical evidence support events in the Bible. One such notable find concerns the city of Jericho. It the book of Joshua it says that when the walls of the city fell, after the siege, the walls fell outward. This would be unexpected as in every other case of a walled city defeated after a siege, the walls fell inward, pushed down by the advancing armies. When the ancient fortified ruins of Jericho were found, the walls were all collapsed in the outward direct, just as the book of Joshua claimed.
