Actually, if you worship a God you think you understand - that makes you an idol worshipper.

You are worshipping your image of God, not God.

For me worshiping anything that I can completely understand is impossible because I know my intellectual limits. Not worthy if I got it all figured out!

God is incomprehensible - we don't understand him to the length that he understands himself. We are given his creations to see and his Book to read but still we cannot fully understand what he is capable of. Our human brains cannot fathom. That is why it is hard for people to understand the "trinity" and the flood and creation. It is easier to see what is before them than what they cannot see. You may think God is false, but I know he is not. In your eyes, you are correct, in my eyes, I am correct. So who is right? Regardless of what you and I believe, it is important we respect eachother and try to live in peace. God bless.

Depends who has ownership of the truth.

I'm sure everyone thinks they have ownership of the truth. Isn't that the unfortunate by-product of faith - the absence of essential doubt and cherry-picking of supporting facts?
