God does not favor America. The Bible's God, ruler of the universe, runs counter to the American Constitution. He does not support democracy (He rules;Psalms 2,89,110: the King is Yawweh's son), freedom of religion (no other gods allowed) or freedom of speech (no blasphemy). The Bible's god, many believe, will throw the majority into a lake of fire.

Yes, especially on 9/11 and when Katrina hit, and Andrew and Gilbert and all the other hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, etc...
. God favors America and yet was impotent to stop a dozen men from slaughtering thousands. That's right.

I don't believe in God but -
Doesn't every country and group think that god favors them? How is our believing that God Loves America any different from someone else saying God Loves Grenda or God Loves Maldives?
Maybe that's just our little egos talking ?

I believe that God favors PEOPLE not places. God loves people not places. He cares for people and helps us through trials, and what we go through in life. He is always by our side. So you see it is the people not places or things.

No, but some religious people try to sway it that way. They think that if we continue to turn our country towards a religious theocracy, promote Israel, fight against abortion and gay rights, etc.; somehow we will receive God's blessing. They like to think that for not doing this, we are being punished with things like 9/11, Katrina, and so on. It's all a load of bunk.

Why would he? Aren't we all God's children?
Lincoln said we shouldn't wish God to be on our side, but that we would be on God's side.
