I constantly have to deal with religious people that reject and treat my like sh*t cause i don't believe in or follow their religious morals. I meet people that will never be able to merry or befriend anyone outside of their religous movement and they will even go as far as war because of their religion. What exactly is the purpose of religious morals if it causes so much hate and judgement in the world?

Morality, by definition, is making distinctions between right and wrong conduct. Religions teach some good morals, to be sure, but, unfortunately, they also encourage fear and mistrust of anyone not of their faith. Some religious people manage to rise above this prejudice, but many do not. Hence religious wars, the gutless concept of not being "unequally yoked" with unbelievers, "God hates fags!" rallies, saying everyone who isn't of one's faith is a devil or spawn of Satan, etc.

"That which is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow. That is the whole Torah; the rest is the explanation; go and learn." ~ Hillel the Elder, _Babylonian Talmud_, tractate Shabbat 31a.

I'm not sure. One thing I am sure of is that the more Religious a person seems to be, the less they pay attention to those Morals, claiming they are above such things because of their belief. Which makes absolutely no sense to me. I think that people use the Moral Card just to get one up on someone. To make them feel guilty for being "Bad" according to their opinion (and their ability to pull out the morals that support their view). Of course, once you do that to them, they pull the "But that was done away with".

Biggest mess I have ever seen and causes more anguish than anything else.

the purpose of religious morals is to limit a certain type of behavior, religious morals don't say that you have communicate with only people of the same religion, religion is a way of giving hope to someone, kinda like the last hope...its purpose is to give love, to learn to love the world as it is given to u, but the feeling of pride, conceitedness and superiority fights the purpose of morals. Basically, they are SUPPOSED to bring love...but they don't.

I have the feeling while inciting love in their followers they can also incite displeasure of those who don't follow them, which can all to easily lead to hatred

I don't believe this is the intention. Fundamentally all religions are about the greater good and helping others, it's their interpretation that sometimes goes a little wrong. People can become very absorbed in their faith and refuse to entertain anyone else's ideas. I think the key is to understand that there are many kinds of belief and that everyone should be allowed to follow whatever they choose without prejudice, however, if you believe very strongly about something this can be a very hard thing to do

I don't know. The christian religion teaches love and peace. But look at the crusades in the 1000's. Christians killed thousands of people, and all because of their religion. What I have found in the religion of Christianity is that people are self righteous. They choose a religion, learn a few things, and decide they are better than everyone else and shouldn't associate with other religions. WHICH IS COMPLETELY CONTRADICTORY TO WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES! Mainly people are just ignorant and self righteous.

I can only speak for the Christian religion, as that is the one I follow. Religious morals are supposed to bring love ito the world - the greatest command is You shall love the lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. The second is yu shall love your neighbour as yourself. Unfortunately, many people, in trying to carry out the first command break the second one - which is NOT what God wants. it;s not the religious morals that cause the problems of hate and judgment, but people who do so.

No. The definition atheist oftentimes covers very sort those with a brilliant form of appreciate for others. there's a team called "anti-theists" who, after starting to be to be acquainted with approximately 3 distinctive religions, have desperate that each and each single certainly one of them (all 10,00) is terrible and could be wiped off the planet. They continuously make very honestly refutable blanket statements: All theists ignore approximately technology, each and every faith claims to be the only authentic one and believes that anybody else is going to hell, all of them have faith in historical holy books, all of them shove their ideals down human beings's throats, there at the instant are not any non violent religions different than in line with threat Buddhism, all theists attempt to tension their ideals into regulation, etc. apparently "information" potential no longer something to anti-theists (in contrast to atheists) because of the fact even nonetheless there are mountains of information, they look willfully blind to many, many faiths. they decline to correctly known the existance of: The Amish Baha'i faith Buddhism Hinduism Vodun Asatru Druidism Goddess Worship Wicca Santeria Gnosticism Unitarian Universalism and a bunch of others. We shelter atheists and their rights, yet anti-theists turn around and cope with us like dirt, and function desperate, even nonetheless we are thoroughly non violent and in good shape NONE of their blanket statements, that our faiths could be destroyed. Anti-theists are basically as undesirable as Christian/Muslim supremacists, who desire another faith wiped off the planet. returned, this could properly be a small faction of atheists. maximum have very lots of appreciate for somebody of religion who would not reason injury.

It would be better if they brought proper grammar into the world. Lacking split dichotomies, I think you meant to ask:

"Are religious morals suppose(d) to bring hate (or love) into the world?"

Second, I think you should read up on traditional christian values... you might be surprised that the behavior of some (protestants) is not indicative of the prescribed rules of ethics espoused by the Christian Church.

I heard something interesting once:

There always has been and always will be good people and bad people in the world, even if religion never existed.

The interesting thing is, that while good people will always do good things, and bad people will always do bad things, religion actally makes good people do bad things.
