I notice that non-Muslims have less rights than Muslims in most Islamic-ruled countries (Saudi, Iran, Sudan...etc).

Even in more liberal countries such as Egypt, Christians have limited rights to build new churches (they have to get permit from the PRESIDENT) or even to renovate their existing churches.

When I ask Muslims about this problem they always say that Muslim countries do not necessarily represent Islam. They say that the real Islam gives FULL rights to non Muslims.

However, when I read a letter sent by Khalifa Omar (second successor after prophet Muhammed) to Christians who lived in one of the cities he conquered, I found it is full of restrictions to their civil rights. Some examples are that they were not allowed to build new churches or to renovate existing ones, they had to wear special clothes to distinguish them from Muslims, they were not allowed to show any religious symbol in public.. etc.

When did non Muslims have FULL civil rights under Islamic ruling?

Non Muslims never have full civil rights under Islamic ruling.

Islam is an antichrist religion. It is under the law of sin and death.

It is no secret that in Islamic countries non-Muslims are subject to apartheid treatment. The worst human being is one who happens to be a non-Muslim in an Islamic state.

The events in the Islamic Nigeria, Sudan...etc. have shown the world how its like to be a non-Muslim in these places.

However, a true Muslim is not perturbed by all this.

Ref: Pakistan's Islamic justice system considers the court testimony of a non-Muslim to be inferior to that of a Muslim.

Ref: The construction of infidel places of worship in a Muslim territory is unlawful; but those already founded there may be repaired. Al-Hedaya Vol.II (Hanafi Manual)

The Bible will not be allowed outside the perimeter of a mosque. The Bible can only be read in ones home without causing any noise pollution
Ref: Death for possession of the Bible in Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan
Ref: The whole world knows about the Islamic ruling by the Talibans for the non-Muslims to wear yellow badges whenever they go outside home

Ref: Iranian Mullahs/prison guards have regular sex with women prisoners/captives convicted of apostasy/waging war against Allah before these women are killed.

The Muslims living in infidel countries take full advantage of the freedom of expression, complete freedom of religious rites and the democratic system to advance their agenda. They are at full liberty to construct, mosques, Islamic schools, Islamic banks, Islamic businesses and what not. But the Muslims back in their Islamic paradises completely ban or severely restrict this freedom to the non-Muslims living in their (Islamic) countries..
Is this a fair game? Why should the Islamists have the full freedom to do whatever they want in infidel countries whereas the non-Muslims will have to undergo so much denials of their basic human rights? Why should not the non-Muslims living in Islamic countries enjoy the same freedom as the Muslims enjoy in non-Islamic countries?

What would Muslims think if the infidels too decide to play the same game of the Islamists. What if they start saying. "Let us deny those freedom to the Muslims that the Islamists deny the non-Muslims".

First, you should take a look at the intended definition of "Civil Rights", which is "the rights belonging to an individual by virtue of citizenship". Now, if you apply that defintion to what you're asking, then you'd come to realize that "civil rights" is not a "blanket term covering all of humanity", but "terms that are applied to the citizenry of a governed area by the government of that area". Therefore, to state that "American Civil Rights" are the same as "Egyptian Civil Rights" is inaccurate.

Unfortunately, the catch-all phrase of "civil rights" has become a collective term used to urge for unilateral freedoms for all people regardless of a number of factors, including religion, race, sexual preference, national origin, etc., and is often applied by liberal organizations that seek to affect changes in governments in which these organizations have asserted that "people are not being treated fairly".

Well, almost by definition under theocracy, a minority religion is oppressed.

But in some ways your premises isn't entirely correct. In Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, etc, wealthy westerners are afforded many freedoms not afforded to locals, such as alcohol. Money talks.

Ok there are no Christians in Saudi Arabia. All the people there are Muslims and no Christian or Jew can get into Saudi because you have to show documentation that you are Muslim in order to get into Saudi Arabia. No they did not.

Lets be clear, under the Caliphs, they had only the rights that the ruler saw fit to honor.

To be fair, that pretty much summed up human rights everywhere at the time.

The koran tells muslims to demand payment from the non-muslims among them, and throughout history muslims have murdered, raped, and stolen from non-muslims in order to terrorize them into either becoming muslims or accept their 2nd class status.
If muslims say other people's rights are respected under islamic law, they are lying. Remember muslims have been taught to lie if they think lying will help spread islam...

Let me ask you a question:Which religion/ country every gave minorities equal rights with the majority? In dictatorships minorities are often persecuted or blamed for problems (in democracies too!) in democracies they have to bow to the will of the majority

Which non-Muslim country gives Muslims equal rights?

Take the UK - The main religion here is Church of England - so a Muslim could never become head of state - just as a non-Muslims couldnt in a Muslim land. Muslims arent allowed to practice aspects of their religion which conflict with the law - and compared to say christians and jews are severely discriminated against in proviosion of faith schools As we know Muslim women have been banned from wearing the hijab in school in France, Germany, Belgium and the burka in places like Italy, Holland and who knows where else

In Muslim countries there are many non-Muslims in parliament (Iraq used to have a Christian vice-president before the war!) and they are accepted and respected by Muslims -In America ONE Muslim Keith Ellison gets elected to the House of Representavies and all hell breaks loose- hows that for tolerance!!

People in glass houses......

Islamic law is and was amazing tolerant of other faiths - Jews and Christians were allowed their own legal courts and laws - imagine Muslims being granted that in the west !!!

In Iran and Pakistan non-Muslims are given seats in parliament according to their numbers - any chance of that for Muslims in non-Muslims lands? In Egypt and Pakistan despite Christians being small minorites their religous holidays are NATIONAL holidays - do you think Eid would ever become a national holiday in a Christian nation!!!

The reason for this is while Islam recognises Christianity and Judaism as recipients of divine guidance and respects them -Christianity and Judaism both reject Islam

Unlike Muslims in non-Muslim lands Christians are given speacial exemptions for their faith - for example islam bans alcohol but in Pakistan Christians are allowed to consume it as its part of their religion (Muslims are forbidden to)

Non-Muslims reached positions of great infleunce and wealth in Islamic states

"Even in more liberal countries such as Egypt, Christians have limited rights to build new churches (they have to get permit from the PRESIDENT) or even to renovate their existing churches."

So do Muslims in non-Muslim lands - try getting a mosque build in hicksville USA - the locals will never allow it - applications for new mosques are often rejected by bigoted politicians in the west playing the anti-muslim card

"However, when I read a letter sent by Khalifa Omar (second successor after prophet Muhammed) to Christians who lived in one of the cities he conquered, I found it is full of restrictions to their civil rights. Some examples are that they were not allowed to build new churches or to renovate existing ones, they had to wear special clothes to distinguish them from Muslims, they were not allowed to show any religious symbol in public.. etc."

Ah yes - so how were Muslims are Jews treated under Christianity at that time : answer- they were killed or forced to convert - seems a tad harsher than not being able to show a crucifix doncha think??

"When did non Muslims have FULL civil rights under Islamic ruling?"

When did non-Christians under Christian law - NEVER- it was convert or be burned
