I've noticed this to be true at any given office environment. There seems to be a person who is not satisfied unless they're causing some kind of discord in the group. Backstabbing, lies, rumors.... it's insane. How do you deal with these individuals.?

When i eat pizza or any other kind of greasy food, i wipe it off with a paper towel first to get all of the extra grease off before i eat it. i do it at my house, at restaurants, and party get togethers where there is a lot of other people. but i don't do it when invited to someone elses house for dinner, because then i personally think it's rude. so when is it appropriate, and when is it not?

My co-worker just told me that she is living at work temporary. My boss has allowed this and has even accommodated her with a bed. She puts the cat in another room when I am in the computer room, but there is still cat hair all over the place.

She is also turning the heat up too high. I am allergic to cats real bad. I also have to do a lot of moving around in the office so the heat makes the it almost unbearable. It makes work very uncomfortable since I am used to working on my own.

What should I do? Just deal for a week or so OR tell my boss she has got to not bring her cat in?

Many showers - bridal showers, baby showers, etc. - are girls only. In the event that a woman who is married is invited to one of these events, is it proper etiquette to label the gift from the woman only to the woman only? Or to the woman only from the woman and the man? Or to both the man and the woman (if the shower is a bridal shower or for a married expectant mother) from the man and the woman? What if the men are related, hence the woman being invited to another woman's shower? This has always confused me just a bit. I see gifts labeled in all sorts of ways, but don't know which, if any, is more proper. Thanks in advance for the advice!

I have been invited to a baby shower, but no RSVP information was provided. There are eight hostesses for the shower, but I know none of them. Is it inproper ettiquette to not RSVP but attend the shower? Since no RSVP information was provided and no RSVP was requested on the invitation, does that mean no RSVP is expected?

Additional information regarding this invitation: It was postmarked just 12 days before the event. I received it about a week before the shower, and the guest-of-honor wasn't even registered in our town. I had to make a last-minute trip to an out-of-town store to select one of the gifts from her registry! (or pay for rush shipping for an on-line purchase to ensure it arrived on time).

1st of all shouldn´t it be "You shouldn´t judge me" since clearly you can judge things
Secondly, if you´re not supposed to judge people you can never make up you mind who they are.
So why do I keep on hearing this phrase like everyone knows what it means?

Just curious as I notice in public washrooms there are always thousands of dry pee spots on the floor surrounding the toilet.

I mean, I'm deaf and prefer to sign, having a very unclear voice. Like other deaf people I don't like people calling us deaf and dumb. However, some PC fatheads prefer to call us stupid things like "Aurally challenged" or "Hearing impaired". We just want to be called DEAF. Let's call a spade a spade. Deaf is deaf. but we're not dumb. However, this is just an example.

I hate it when PC goes too far. I prefer plain speaking. If a person is gay, then just say gay, not make up words as not to offend people.

"Not offending people"... a noble sentiment, but i think some people don't know where to stop. is this the REAL blight?

All answers accepted. If you don't want to be PC, fine by me. If you want to be "careful", fine by me. Just don't go overboard, either way, please.

Thanks.

It says thou shalt not kill... man this is a serious dilemna. because these ants are creatures and they have intelligence too. But I can't like escort each and every last one of them to a new home. But I don't like to kill them. A whole race of ants down the drain. What is the right thing or true thing to do? What would you do? If I don't keep up with the dishes there they are in all their little ant glory. Little puppies working in teams to get my left over pizza whatever, protein etc.

Our relatives have 4 small kids, toddlers and babies, and we spent loads on them for Christmas. And spent alot on my aunt and uncle as well. Like 3 bags of gifts each.. Anyways.. We didn't even get a thank you in return, no cards or phone calls. NOTHING. They mooch off everyone in our family and when someone needs help they won't ever return favors. I'm not being greedy but should I be mad that they didn't even thank us, or am I overreacting?

Okay, so I Married my daughters father after finding out that we were going to have a baby. My family put on a wonderful wedding for us....but he and I didn't work out (It all came down to the fact that he was cheating on me and he didn't divorce his first wife even before he married me so I left him) Well, I have moved on to a better life and I have a new beau. We are talking about Marriage possible in Ocotober of 2008. I love the wedding gown I picked out when I married previously. It fits wonderfully, I have all the accessories, and I look damn gorgeous in it!!! I was wondering if it would be proper to use it again. I really love the dress I have and I really don't want to buy another one. What is the general opinion on this??
