Is one or both the correct term. I say dinner , my mom and dad call it supper and they even sometimes refer to lunch as dinner, lol. So why do we have these 2 different terms for the evening meal?

Some time ago I joined a sports association to take tennis lessons. After a few years I wanted to stop. I knew that I had to cancel my membership before the 1st of August. If I didn't my membership would just continue. So, before the 1st of august I sent a letter cancelling my membership. Recently I saw that money was stil taken off my bank account.
I told them this but they are stil continuing my membership for this year and not refunding. They said that it is written on the website that I would recieve a confirmation letter within 2 weeks- and to call if this is not the case. - I was not aware of this and must not have read well enough. I did not recieve any confirmation- and thought that my membership was cancelled.

gulp. Is there anything I can do?

He had a big debate over this at work and to me there are just some things no amount of money would get me to do if it went totally against my personal morals and beliefs. How far do you think you could go if somone offered you a this kind of money to compromise yourself in the worst way, could you stand to look at yourself aftwards, would this kind of money be worth it to you to compromise everything??? Give me an example of how far you'd go to get this money? 10 pts to best answer!

My friend weighs like 100lbs and she 'brags' about how fat she is and she needs to go on a diet and loose so much weight. I know she does it because she wants to draw attention to how skinny she is , but it bugs me so much... It's not that I'm jealous, it's just that it bugs me when people take such great things for granted.. I have another friend who is over weight, and she would trade everything to just be at a correct weight and it bugs me especially when she goes on about herself when she is around... Anyone else have friends like this? Does it annoy you?

I don't have a car so I have to walk or take the bus everywhere. I am tired of so called friends saying "you walked here in this weather, didn't you get cold?" and guys that I have been out with saying, you poor thing, wish I could help you if you lived closer". Do people actually think I choose to walk in the bad weather? I have no choice if I want to get to work so why does everyone offer empty sypathy? I think if you don't want to or can't help, then keep your opinions and empty sympathy to yourself. what do you think??

The new semester started for me today. Well, I am a socially nervous person and I can't eat when I'm nervous. I skipped breakfast. By the time I got to my second class, my stomach was growling. Add to that that my stomach was already nervous and anxious. My stomach made several LOUD noises during class. I feel really embarassed about it, but rationally I know it's not that big of a deal. I just wonder if the people who heard think I'm a big weirdo now. Am I right to be embarassed or not?

IF as it is claimed Shilpa IS being racially bullied then surely it's for HER to draw that conclusion and complain?

Is it not a fact that by an observer concluding that someone is being bullied because of that persons ethnicity, but the victim does not draw the same conclusion, then the observer is in turn being racist because they are making descisions based on race?

I would be interested in anyone's veiws on this, Thanks

In the forum I'm on, I try to be as nice and fun as possible but it seems like people gang up on me for it. Like today.. I started a thread and someone hated the idea of it so they reported me to a mod and it got deleted and then he told the mod to go into my private threads and he locked all of them! It made me so mad. I mean, you do something wrong and so your punished in so many ways for it! UGH! Sorry, I think I'm venting but I just want to know if when your being picked on by people in a forum, and you can't have a higher authority person help, would you quit? I'm thinking of deleting my account, because I'm fed up.

They are renting a condo suite next door.Last week they were warned that if they get one more Noise complaint, they will be evicted immediately.(legally you can do this if you are breaking the law several times)
Now I am About to make this call to police that will make this their deserved fate.
They have been fined 7 times by police who investigated the late noise disturbances .They allow their 2 or 3 year old to cry for attention and Refuse to stop it.
These people are as DUMB AS STUMPS .that believe that the condo building revolves around their life.
They also said that their kid likes to cry at bed time and the neighbors should tolerate it and tuff it out.I WOULD RATHER TOLERATE 10 LAUGHING HYENAS in my bedroom
Is it just me ..Or do some parents think they are special because they can poop out a baby ....?
Also why do parents think that they have the right to subject the public to their unstable life they wanted to have and now can not deal with it .?

I mean, it's just so ambiguous. Does it mean 'do you have an excuse'? What do people want when they ask this? I got b*llocked so many times when I was at school because a teacher would ask me this question and I would either say that I didn't understand the question or say 'nothing'. I'm not stupid. I just need assistance!

Pitt and Jolie are NOT a Royal couple. he's justs a guy who cheated on his wife and got caught when the'mistress' got knocked up. I wish the media would stop making these two amoral people into some knid of icon. Aren't they just a couple of dishonest, unfaithful actors who think their poo doesn't stink? Well, it does. And so do they. I wish they'd stop making movies 'cause I'll never go to another one of their films!

Recently I joined an online book club. The first book that has been assigned for everyone to read is not available in any library and must be purchased. I am having financial problems, and even though the book is not too expensive, I know if I have to keep buying books then the cost will all add up and compared to bills, groceries, etc. this book club is not a priority. I've wanted to join a book club for a long time now and now that I finally have it feels like I should wait another little while. One of the other members of the book club said if cost of a book is a problem, then to ask her about it and maybe she can arrange something but I'm embarrassed to keep asking her for help everytime I can't afford a book. What should I do?

Pet peeve one: freezing cold restaurants. Last night my family stopped for dinner at a semi-fast food chain for dinner. It was 40 degrees (F) outside, and the A/C was on! It was freezing in there. I do NOT enjoy my dining experience when I am sitting there shivering like a leaf at the table. This is the second location of this chain we have visited in the past three months. The other location was the same way. I wanted to go sit in the car, I was so miserable.

Pet peeve two: eating off of paper. Big, huge, oversized piece of paper getting food on it, and then getting food on me as I am trying to navigate around it. My husband, watching me get more and more annoyed, finally reaches over and folds down all the excess out of my way. While he's doing this, he asks me, "Why didn't you just fold it down like this before you started eating? I've seen you do it before."

My reply: "I'M TOO COLD!"
