I am annoyed by people who try so hard to be tidy that they get upset if something is slightly messy. Geez people, there are more important things in life to worry about.

I wear like.....t-shirts and jeans most everyday.......people tell me that if i want to get a guy to look at me, i have to dress "preppy" or "fashionable"....that i have to TRY.......is it really an automatic turn-off if i don't wear fancy stuff to impress other people?

Im staying at this place called Nanoom Christian Fellowship.
this church provides shelters and solutions to those who have trouble with drugs. They try to heal you for FREE food, shelter, programs ....etc through grace of god
but this breaks my heart how come over 11 years over 500 people graduated from this place yet nobody wants to comeback whether they are successful or not..... everyone wants to forget about their past at least the bad side which is understandable but they also forget the people that helped them when the whole world looked down on you as a drug addict and rejected you. i've been staying here for about 4 months and I am so proud to be here and be apart of this church. but not everyone feels that way
right now this church owns more then $300,000 to the bank for feeding, sheltering people that jesus talked and helped same people that was rejected by the world.
i have no money to help this place.
how and who can help this great church that no one seems to care ???

I was wondering if it was inapprorpiate to pay for both the meal bill and the tip for the server at the same time. If it's say less than 20 dollars, and you can pay for it with a 20, is it considered polite if you wait for the server to bring you the change, rather than to just leave the payment and leave?

It just seems silly to make the server get change for you if you're only just going to leave most of it anyway. I'm not talking paying about paying for a small amount with a large bill--obviously you don't want to leave too much money as a tip, unless it was amazing service.

Although I suppose I could understand waiting until the server comes back if you want to make sure he or she gets the tip--I've read cases where patrons or random people will steal payments or tips off of tables.

It seems like everyone is expected to look the same in our society. Would you not hire a person because he or she was fat? Would you not date/marry a guy or girl (even if he or she was the perfect match) because of the fat?

Just curious. I've ran into a few. Well, 1 or 2-everyone can't see the bad in them-yet I know looks can be deceving, and I know everyone has a bad side. Any who, it just funny how no matter what, this person knows how to manipulate people into likeing them; winning charm; looks, and there are only some far andfew who actually know the truth-know that these people are bad news and like to hurt others and then play innocent and everyone believes them-but you don't, and you know how selfish and ruthless they truly are.

I'm about to move into my first home...at least the first that I'll be paying a mortgage on as opposed to paying rent. I'm a mid 30s single mother of two who had almost given up hope on ever becoming a homeowner, but I'm doing it! There are so many things that I could use but there are a lot of things that I already have. Is a wish list tacky? What is appropriate?

Today is my birthday, my mom calls me up and says that for dinner tonight, she wants to take my husband and I out for supper. She tells me to decide where I want to go and then call her back. I call her back and tell her I can't decide between Chili's or Olive Garden, and she says "You eat at those places all the time, why don't we go to Sullivans?" I say, no it's too expensive and I don't want you to pay $50+ / person for food. She says we are eating there and that is that...but hey, if you don't want to, it's your birthday, but I just thought it'd be nice to treat you to something...so anyway, since she's throwing a fit , I guess we'll be going but I know I will feel bad about it being so expensive and I won't even be able to enjoy my meal, plus I don't want to get all fancied up to go out tonight, I'd rather just sit around with some beer and pizza, anyway..what can I do?

It's always perplexed me. Think about it;

We kiss your hand, we are looking for a wedding ring, we can find out if you are single or not.

We open the door for you, we are looking at your butt as you walk through the door without you knowing about it.

We help you pick up something you have dropped, a great way to get a sneak peak of your cleavage while you are flustered and not paying attention.

Am I right, or just a perv ?

Has it ever bothered you that it is okay for someone to call someone skinny but it is horrendous and tragic if you call somebody fat. Why is it okay for somebody to go up to another person say "oh my god you are so skinny" how would they like it if someone went up to them and said "oh my god you are so fat" doesnt sound too nice now alll the sudden does it? or doesnt it? why is calling someone skinny seen more of a compliment and calling someone fat is an insult and just a disgrace to all etiquette?

My friend was going to audition for our school's production fo "Evita". I am also auditioning, and for the same part as she is (Evita, the title role). However, today she informed our teacher she was no longer interested in auditioning. Would it be appropriate for me to ask her why she no longer wants to audition? Or would it be rude? Thanks!

More than once I have been at a checkout and the cashier is talking with a co-worker or friend about their date, their children or whatever. The only time a comment was made to me was when I was told the," total is...". What is the best way to handle this situation? It is very annoying. Should the store manager be told?
