...oka.....i wear regular, comfortable clothes almost everyday. I wear like.....t-shirts and jeans most everyday.......people tell me that if i want to get a guy to look at me, i have to dress "preppy" or "fashionable"....that i have to TRY.......is it really an automatic turn-off if i don't wear fancy stuff to impress other people?

You should dress feminine and ONLY feminine if you want to turn on the opposite sex; however, you may not want to come off too slutty in your feminine dress (e.g. mini skirts) if men are looking for some woman who is genuine, has morals, and is not just an easy lay. Of course, it's ultimately your choice to dress however you want, but if I had my way, and if certain men are still not accepted in main-stream society because they wear women's clothes, there would be a law stating that women can ONLY dress in feminine women's clothes and that men can ONLY dress in masculine men's clothes - just to make fashion choices FAIR between the two sexes and the sexes more attracted to each other. Of course, I would have to follow my own laws too - to keep it fair, but as long as those laws are NOT in place, I will continue to wear women's clothes WITHOUT LOOKING GAY (being that I'm heterosexual), while some (or more than some) women insist on wearing men's clothing.

I know you said guys only but I've been in your boat. You don't have to be preppy...gag, or fancy as long as your clothes don't look second hand. It would also help if they weren't baggy. I've even switched to baby doll t-shirts and I can't go back to regular. They show off your curves much better than a shirt designed for a man.

The best answer i can give you is use BALANCE. If you dress to tomboyish most guys wont give you the time of day. If you dress too provactivly you will come across as easy or slutty. The best thing to do is dress with balance. Show enough to remind people you are a girl, but dont show enough to where they think that they can get what they want from you without trying to connect with you...

The people who are telling you that stuff are wrong. so of the best looking girls are ones who don't look like there trying to impress anyone. If you happy in jeans and a t-shirt then stick to it but don't be afraid to dress up now and then. You don't want to be labled "ONE OF THE GUYS"

No way-forget all that stuff about you have to do this and be that. When a guy sees that you are a female-the looks are automatic. It may be an automatic turn-off if you "try too hard". Some girls try to show too much-this makes the guy automatically think "whore"!

A skirt, heels, and blouse is fine, it makes a woman LOOK GREAT ! (sorry I live in NY), don't you find that a well dressed man looks his best ?
