I lived in Spain, I am over 6' and I am brown haired green eyed. I looked a lot like a couple of my neighbors. Why do you bring this up? Did someone think that they look like Mexicans or Cubans? People just do not know that is all. They even think the food is the same. But you made the same mistake. Italians are much more darker then Spainards. Look at Virna Lisi on the internet, or Mrchello Mastrioni. So it seems to be a common misconception.

Spain from about 500 AD to 711 was known as "The Visigothic Kingdom". The Visigoths are from Sweden.

Andalusia was originally called Vandalusia...named for the Vandals who had set up their kingdom their. The Vandals were forced into Morrocco by the Visigoths for refusing to convert to Catholic from Arian (Christian). The Vandals were an East Germanic tribe from N. Poland/Prussia.

These two tribes and also the Suevi who settled in Portugal are the reasons why some Spaniards have blond hair.

In the part of the USA where I live, the great majority of Spanish-speakers are of Mexican descent. I think that many people here have not really seen enough people from other Spanish-speaking cultures to realize that other Spanish speakers look different from Mexicans. It's just lack of exposure to the information, I think. (Actually, you probably know as well that there is great variety among Mexicans as well, but hopefully you'll know what I mean.)

i'm a short male. i do now no longer be afflicted by using a Napoleon complicated, in no way had an argument with precise and continually enjoyed jokes people suggested approximately my precise using actuality it replaced into continually in stable nature. I did, in spite of the reality that, have a "complicated" in that I longed to be actual extra effective than i replaced into, and that i lifted weights presented that i replaced into 14 years previous. This helped me out in various circumstances and jobs in existence, so it is the only "complicated" I had. I actual have met some short adult males with a "Napoleon" complicated, yet optimal persons who're short, many circumstances have stable attitudes. this may well be a splash bit a stereotype, actual. Are all Asian grownup adult males over aggressive with jobs and coaching? Are all black adult males thugs and coffee-lifes?

Perhaps they are focusing on how Spaniards look in general NOW? As far as I saw, they looked fairly similar to Italians, though of course not exactly.
