IF as it is claimed Shilpa IS being racially bullied then surely it's for HER to draw that conclusion and complain?

Is it not a fact that by an observer concluding that someone is being bullied because of that persons ethnicity, but the victim does not draw the same conclusion, then the observer is in turn being racist because they are making descisions based on race?

I would be interested in anyone's veiws on this, Thanks

Yep. I understand what you mean.. unless they've blatently made a purely racist coment to Shilpa then it is observers who are putting their own interpretation onto the situation...and this can cause more harm than good.

I tried watching part of the introduction show and couldn't stand it, so I have missed most of what is going on...

..however (from what I gather) it is still bullying, and this, in itself, is an issue that should be dealt with...if the bullying is based on a prejudice of any sort.. be it; race, class, intelligence level, or based on looks even, it is still prejudice that needs sorting carefully by channel 4.

It could be that the others just don't like her...perhaps they just have a clash....it can happen that you come across someone that you just don't like... and then people rally together which creates the bullying...

even if this is the case though, the bullying still needs to be addressed.

I think you could be right. The fact is, Shilpa is beautiful and has got such class and poise and I think the 3 bitches are just jealous and she just happens to be of ethnic minority! It could be racism but I think you're right in saying that for people to think it's racism then surely their being racist themselves to think that it could be! I think it's jealousy pure and simple. If only Jade knew how she's coming across - going into the Big Brother house again could be the biggest mistake she could have made - you just watch her "career" crash when she comes out. Goody Goody gumdrops! lol.

Shilpa hasn't even heard the half of what those backstabbing racist bitches have said about her, but she has said many times that she knows they do not like her -- she simply doesn't know why.

Plus she has class and dignity and has tried her best to be strong and stay composed in the midst of all this shite!

this affair seems to be taking priority on the news the stupid programme which should be scrapped seems on the evening news to be causing world wild condemnation. The young lady has the remedy in her hands to tell the bullies just what she thinks of them and walk out. She's a beautiful young lady and why she put herself in that programme is beyond me I would say its below her status!!!!Now can we close the tit tat on this stupid programme and get back to something more intelligent like our boys welfare out east and the sort out of our home office by God its long overdue>>so Mr Reid lets have some red cards showing and some action taken on individuals for neglect of duties

I would say the observer is prolly sensitive to such issues, but not necessarily biased. I always champion animal and human rights. Sadly, it seems as though sometimes humans being abused and bullied have been sufficiently maltreated in past to not recognize the abuse as abuse.
