No, I would not get mad. I'd understand that I didn't pick a gift that the person liked or maybe they got the same thing or something similar from someone else or had no use for it. I would just try to choose better next time.

I have given away a few things that were given to me. A lot of people have given me stuff that I have no use for, so instead of making it go to waste or stack up in the closet I try to find someone who would like it. It's not that I don't appreciate people giving me stuff or that I'm cheap and don't want to buy new presents, I just don't like letting things go to waste and don't always have use for things people give to me, so I pass it on to someone else. I don't usually let the person who gave it to me know, I want to spare their feelings unless I know they won't feel strange about this. I rarely give it as Christmas or birthday presents though, I generally just give it away for no special occation, just a casual gift.

It depends on who does that. If its a close friend/ family member, then I'd have felt very, very hurt. If it was someone I didn't know too well, then I wouldn't really care, its quite ok with me. But in either case, I wouldn't get mad.

Done it, yes sort of. During our wedding, we got a LOT of lamps, most them were even the same make and design. We kept most of them to be given away as gifts, packaging intact & all. But we haven't given it off yet, because we always seem to go to only special people's marriages, and those seem too stupid to be gifting. Some other gifts we did recycle, though.

I would think it rude but I would also understand and not be mad. I have done it myself and I'm sure that someone at some point has betowed a gift to me that was given to them by someone. Sometimes a person just doesn't have enough cash to buy a gift.

i do not re-gift. it is rude and un-acceptable. umm you can say this too!!!!!!!!!!!!
heck its better to be enjoyed than dusted seldom.
now for the funny 1. ever get the proverbial regifted fruitcake? you know the 1 in existence that is passed around? send it to my ex-wife, she loves the stuff. sounds like a digg, but im not kidding. she was telling me how good 1 tasted. i told her your not suppossed to eat em, you either attach a chain for dogtether or boat anchor, place in front of a door, or, you guessed it, send it down the road. im pretty sure thats why they are mostly round, so the rock can pass along easier. roll in through the front door remove the card attach your own and keep it moving. beware if she gets it, you gotta make a new 1. thats where the last 1 went!

I wouldn't be mad. After all, a gift is a gift. Once you give something to someone, it's theirs to do with as they please. I've done it one time. Peace.

I would be upset. I would never do this and I wouldn't expect someone to do this to me. However, I understand there are bigger issues.
