When i eat pizza or any other kind of greasy food, i wipe it off with a paper towel first to get all of the extra grease off before i eat it. i do it at my house, at restaurants, and party get togethers where there is a lot of other people. but i don't do it when invited to someone elses house for dinner, because then i personally think it's rude. so when is it appropriate, and when is it not?

I don't think it's rude, but NEVER do it if the waiter is still at the table at a restaurant, or if your friend cooked the meal. It might seem like you think the food is bad.

lol...I do the same thing! I mean it is just so tempting when you can see all the grease that you can so easily wipe off instead of eat. I think many people will say it is rude (I am curious), but you can certainly do it in your own house and in a restaurant ....well maybe a bit out of ettiquet but does it really matter? I think it depends on whether your companions are embarrassed about it. At a party you may offend the host and like you said when you are at someone's place for dinner it may appear rude. I guess I am not really a great answerer for this one since I do it too. I think there is no rule for this one...

In all honesty, it's not rude honey. And others do understand. There is a ton of un-necessary grease that sits on top of that pizza and soaking it up before hand is not a bad/tacky idea. It's very smart and health conscience, which is viewed as appropriate in today's day and age. Just be sure that you never use a cloth napkin for this (that would be rude) and that after you soak up the extra grease, you have something to cover that paper towel or napkin with.

It all depends on how you do it, other then that i dont think its rude. Even though if you cooked something and one of the house guests start whiping off some of your cooked sause, grease or start putting a lot of spices on the food or even sald and peppers making it seem like you have no idea how to cook and spice stuff up, now that is rude. I guess its how you do it. Well....i dont even know now....i guess only if you dont do it at someone elses house where you was invited then you are good.....

The fact that you pay that close attention to the extra grease shows you care about your body, so it is appropriate whenever you eat pizza. If someone gets offended, tell them that you care about yourself and don't want or need the extra toxins in your body.

Frankly, inasmuch as there is such overwhelming evidence showing the ills of grease inside the human body, I don't think it is rude at all - assuming you do it in an acceptably gracious manner, of course. In other words, I believe health supersedes manners - to the greatest extent.

If i eat pizza I always blot the grease off it, there is a difference in being rude and trying to be somewhat healthy. Dont worry if people think thats rude, screw em.

Not rude, try blotting with the paper towel/napkin, most people will know what exactly you are doing then, and shouldn't care. If you "wipe" it sort looks as if you don't want someones "germs" or touching it.

Mike Hunt. I used to artwork for a business enterprise the place between the revenues reps got here in only about wetting himself with laughter. He were to verify a customer, a Mr M Hunt yet he did not be attentive to what his first call exchange into. The receptionist on the workplace greeted our rep and then began to aim to track down Mr Hunt. It exchange into purely whilst she called to a colleague "has every person seen Mike Hunt?" that our rep lost it thoroughly!

I don't think it's rude at all. Nearly everybody is leaning toward healthier eating habits these days. If anybody looks at ya weird just tell them you're watching your cholesterol. People understand that.
