Do you believe in the Bible? The main reason is because of Revelation 22:18. God says do not add anything to this book yet you have the Book of Mormon, so if you do believe in the Bible that is contradicting your religion.

I want to get a tattoo in Italian for my grandfather who just passed away. I would like it to say "thank you" and was wondering if there was a more personal/loving way to say "thank you" rather than just saying "grazie".

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

The Golden Rule is at the very least a good starting model for your life, but does it also exhibit some flaws? All people are different. Not everyone wants to be treated like another person. You may want someone to give you a horse, but someone else may think getting a horse is actualy bad (they don't want one and they'll have to maintain one). So they don't want you to do to them what you want someone to do to you. So perhaps a better guideline/rule would be to not think what someone else wants (based on yours), but to actualy attain the knowledge of what they want from them, and go from there.

Of course i guess you could also say that the Golden Rule shouldn't be applied to everything (like the horse example) but applied to everyone wants what they want, so do what they want. So it is applied in a vague way rather than a specific way, which makes the statement somewhat confusing.

aren't we as humans supposed to have domain over all the animals? yet, if you try explaining this to a wild bear, you'll get your head ripped off. if anything i would say bears, at the very least, have domain over humans.

I mean, the Muslims must think that they occupy the top of the ladder when it comes to wacky religious behavior, maybe if Mitt Romney does become president, the Muslims might think they’ve lost the top spot on the ladder, do you think?

For the past 2 years, we have give my father in law and my brother in law something they already had. Now, obviously, we didn't know either of them had said gift or else we wouldn't have wasted the time/money.

Both of them (on seperate occasions since we trade gifts at different times) have informed us that they already had what we gave them and they left the gift with us. Yes, that's right. Neither of them took their gift home.

Now, I was raised that when someone gives you a gift, you thank them, graciously take the gift and either dispose of it, give it to someone who might like it, or return it to the store for something else. I wouldn't dream of being so rude as to not accept a gift because I already had it.

How do you react? (And no, we do not go out any buy them something else. I refuse to reward rudeness.) The 2 t imes with my father in law and the one time with my brother in law, I just sat there, dumfounded, as my husband APOLOGIZED PROFUSELY to them for the mistake.

I am doing a research project for my AVID II class and It is on assult and bullying in schools. I was a victim of both bullying and assult last year. I was jumped and repeatedly called the same names over and over (whore slut b*tch...the usual) I went to my school about it and nothing was done...well something was done, they were told to leave me a lone. did they? No. The school didn't do anything for me after that and I eventually had file assult charges and now the girls are off of my back. I was hoping to get some personal experiences from anyone who has been a victim or currently is a victim.

I am not going to try to list them all, but just to get you going;
thou shalt not kill, lie, murder, covet, honor thy father&mother, remember the sabbeth day, no idolatry...
Ok, got it?
Do you follow all of these?
If your anything like me, you try to.
But find yourself from time to time falling short.
Now, here's my question.
If you cant follow the 10 Commandments to a tee, all the time, perfect... why do we judge others?
What makes you any better to get into the "pearly gates"?
Is one sin better than another?
Yes, I believe these should be our guidelines, but I also feel
that they should also compell us as Believers to Love each other, good and bad.
Because nobody seems to get it just right.
Thoughts?
