I find it very suspicious that god would only display the biblical scale miracles during a time and places that have less of a scientific infrastructure and more traditions of superstition?

Not only that, these biblical scale miracles(Red sea, 10 Plagues, talking snake/donkey, 200 + year old people) suddenly disappeared when everyone has cameras/video recorder/internet/better documentation etc.

I also find it very ridiculous that many people find any statistically unlikely event such as winning the lottery or even that is considered as "wonderful" such as birth, sunset or surviving cancer to be part of what I call "biblical scale miracles" o_0

I just saw something on the evening news that is more proof that evolution is wrong. They had a news item about a man who was helping the coral re-grow in the Florida keys. Why does this disprove evolution you ask? Because if evolution were true, the coral would not have died out in the first place, because it would have adapted to the new temperatures of the waters in which it lives - as the evolution theory goes. But instead of evolving to suit it's environment, it is almost dead and what is still living is dying, except for what this man has re-planted. What are your thoughts?
P.S. Isn't it sad that man is about to completely ruin the earth? And aren't we glad God will soon step in and rectify the problems?

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
Ill never look into your eyes...again

Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need...of some...strangers hand
In a...desperate land

Lost in a roman...wilderness of pain
And all the children are insane
All the children are insane
Waiting for the summer rain, yeah

Theres danger on the edge of town
Ride the kings highway, baby
Weird scenes inside the gold mine
Ride the highway west, baby

Ride the snake, ride the snake
To the lake, the ancient lake, baby
The snake is long, seven miles
Ride the snake...hes old, and his skin is cold

The west is the best
The west is the best
Get here, and well do the rest

The blue bus is callin us
The blue bus is callin us
Driver, where you taken us

The killer awoke before dawn, he put his boots on

Ok, i met my wife awhile ago. She was a disfellowshiped Jehovah's witness. I am currently in the army, and while i was in Iraq she had been reinstated. Since i have been back, i have went to many meeting with her, and have studied with her. I love going. Though, if you have read my previous questions, theres alot i dont agree with. Such as how no one would talk to or acknowledge her when she went while she was disfellowedshiped. Also, i have been to Iraq, and have had to do shoot and kill a person. I am not proud of killing, though i am still proud of the things i have accomplished in the army. And am proud my buddies, and watching each others backs.
Though i am questioning the war, and the path i have choosen. I want to follow the path in front of me now, and it will not be hard as i only have two months left in the army. But how will i be percieved having took a life, and for believing it just? And should i wait till i am out of the army before asking for my own study?

Who can disprove him? How can you argue that? It would be laughable if it wasn't so terribly sad.

"Christian name" is obviously no good for many people. "First name" and "last name" messes up in Japan. So, are there any more neutral and international descriptions for human names?

As Christians we share our joy and love of the Lord openly. As a result we witness and use our positive experiences to help others, so if you are so happy why aren't you sharing your joy? The only thing I see or hear from you guys are angry and slanderous remarks against God and Christians. Surely, you have some postive experiences to share.

Christians always tell me that he loves me, but I've gathered that I'm gonna burn if I don't love and accept Jesus. So he only loves me if I love him first - right? Does that strike you as being a bit childish and egotistical?

I was bent over at the copy machine fixing it and the UPS guy came walking in. This was this spring. After years of not paying attention to me all of a sudden I was the interest in his frequent trips. He asked me out. Now I mentioned this months ago and the only reason I had a red bandana in my back pocket was because it was all I could find to blow my noseat the moment, then I understood what it meant but, I have partner who wouldn't appreciate, but on the other hand, I don't have a ring on this nipple, still, I should just really talk to this guy and let him know where I stand, where the hell do I stand on this?

I really like it here on the fence. I get to see what's going on on both sides of it, but don't have to choose between sides. I can watch from here and listen, but don't have to believe what I see or accept what I hear.

I have a hard time believing there is a God, and an equally hard time believing there isn't. So if I choose to stay here on the fence, what does that make me? If you say lukewarm, what's wrong with that? At least I'm not frigid or burning with fever . . .

Soooo what's wrong with staying on the fence?

How to deal with unprofessionalism?
i work in a very very professional environment (ie hospital), and a few of us students are doing an internship their and one of the students is makes very unprofessional comments about me infront of other professionals. I have approached her and told her about it but she does not take too many things seri0ously and continues to make these comments. I don't mind the comments (i mostly ignore her) but when she makes it infront of other professionals (ie mds) it is very uncomfortable, How can I get her to stop. She is the type of girl who craves attention and likes to be center of attention, and who makes herself feel better by putting down others (ie me and some other students).

I really am confused by this... if Christianity is a monotheistic religion, then why do they worship Father, Son, and The Holy Spirit? If Jesus IS God, then why do they say he is the son of God? Which one is it? Does this boggle anyone else's mind??
