It says in the bible that God knows and see all, he is all powerful and all knowing. It also says that God gave you free will, the ability to make your own decisions. Well, how can you make your own choice if he already knows the choices you are going to make? He knew before Hitler or Bin Laden was born the horrible crimes and deaths they would cause. They couldn't choose anything else, he already knew the choice that was made before they even made it. So christians, explain that one.

I have had many debates with friends over this, but what are you ideas about having things like "In God We Trust" on our coins. Our founding fathers based our laws on the Bible so why should we take out our principals about Him. I believe this country will fall without Him. Im Agnostic now, but I used to attend a mega-church, and it was always the fundies who didnt like Osteen. They would accuse him of being "watered down", and that was the mild stuff.

The reason why Osteen gets so much fundy hate is because he doesnt lecture using bible citations every other half second. He doesnt run around with a big ole leathery bible in his hand, rattling it around for effect.

Osteens messages are also much more practical, dealing with issues that effect most people, and thus dont lend themselves to ridiculously overstretched comparisons to ole "Ruth" or "David's" prehistoric trials in the bible.

Truth is, if the church moves toward Osteen's methodologies, there might be hope for us yet. I still could do without the ridiculous "love your enemy" and "turn the other cheek" ultra pacifistic morality that, when taken literally, as leftists in America do, are a certain recipe for annihilation, but otherwise, maybe Osteen's direction has promise.

I have seen so many questions about interracial dating and white women are saying black women are jealous that black men find them attractive. Black women are saying the same about white women and white men. These people assume a whole race of people have a problem with interracial dating. They assume if a person looks at them its because they are an interracial couple. This is crazy. I have dated interracially and I have never had someone scream out obscenities or racially hurtful things to us, nor have I had people eyeballing us to the point of uncomfortable feelings. I have dated white, black, asian, hispanic and have NEVER gotten an uncomfortable response and I am a dark toned black woman...

Maybe its your attitudes about dating other races that make people not like you or say stupid things to you. I mean if you say you're better because they chose someone in your race..maybe that's what makes them hate you and not the interracial aspect in itself.

I know people say to believe the bible, I believe in Jesus Christ and his teachings...but the bible itself is someone that have doubts about. I have heard that the bible has been written and re-written to support the person(s) own belief. In my opinion...its on self judgement...and how God reveals the passages in which we read to us....

Like the Old and New testament...I take it as we should follow the NEW testament...the Old testament is just what it is....OLD laws and OLD beliefs...because if God intended us to continue to follow the OLD testament, then there wouldnt be a NEW one....

i also kno people wont like all what i'm typing but i dont care cause i know what i believe and I just wanted to get others opinions.

i'm a history buff and i just got this question out of nowhere. I know that alot of the males go into the Royal Navy, Royal Marines or the Army, but aren't they mostly ceremonial units? i understand it would be stupid to risk someone that important on a REAL combat unit, but just out of curiosity, has there EVER been anything of that kind before, where a member of the Royal Family ever been promoted to a position, that's not just ceremonial???

You wouldn't go up to a midget/little person and say that. Why? Because its rude, disrespectful, and discriminatory. But apparently, its ok to rag on people who are just "vertically challenged".

Everyday I have to deal with someone talking about my height. I know what all of you will say. "Don't worry about other people, just be yourself."

Well I do, everyday. But what other people think of you IS important as well as first impressions. I honestly believe I would have a girlfriend by now if it wasn't for my height.

We look back at christians of the past with distain, The christians of the roman empire fed others to the lions, (pretty ironic) the crusades, the genocide of the people of the americas and the inquisition to name a few of the things done in the name of Christ in the past. I'm not blaming this on Jesus, and I know it doesn't compare to what most of chrisiantity does today, but what if in 500 years there is no war or killing how do you think those christians will look back on pro-war christians of today? Or the Christians who deny the rights of homosexuals? Or the Christians (a fringe group but still christians) who march at soldiers funerals and say they deserve it? What do you think? I'm interested in the opinions of Christians and none Christians, just please keep the insults to a minimum.

I bought a pair of sunglasses a while ago that I really liked. I went back to the store a while later and bought the last two pairs they had to have extras.

I was talking with my grandmother the other day and she complimented my sunglasses and mentioned that she needed new ones, so since I had two extra pairs I gave one to her.

Anyway I was looking at my other pair and I noticed a small chip on the bottom corner of the lens, its hard to notice if you're not looking for it. How bad would it be if I switched them?
