Could we get there in a space ship if we tried? Or is it not physically anywhere except in our own minds and imagination?

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,"
declares the LORD.

"As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts."

It's not physically anywhere. Many theologians, including Pope John Paul, say that heaven is not a place; heaven is seeing god.
Of course, there is the very likely possibility that it's all just a crock, but even believers are mistaken if they think it's up in the clouds and they hang around with their dead relatives and pets.

Heaven doesn't exist. Most people think that they go there when they die - but you don't die. Others believe heaven is where the angels live - the angels don't call it heaven - you can't see it but it's just above the clouds.

If it exists, it is a place that cannot be seen with human eyes. It transcends space, the planets, dirt, and water. It is above us and below us and everywhere around us yet nowhere in sight.
