We look back at christians of the past with distain, The christians of the roman empire fed others to the lions, (pretty ironic) the crusades, the genocide of the people of the americas and the inquisition to name a few of the things done in the name of Christ in the past. I'm not blaming this on Jesus, and I know it doesn't compare to what most of chrisiantity does today, but what if in 500 years there is no war or killing how do you think those christians will look back on pro-war christians of today? Or the Christians who deny the rights of homosexuals? Or the Christians (a fringe group but still christians) who march at soldiers funerals and say they deserve it? What do you think? I'm interested in the opinions of Christians and none Christians, just please keep the insults to a minimum.

i'm sure they'll look at us with disdain too, for different reasons than we look back at other christians. every generation is flawed. some more than others. but even if they do look back with disdain on certain things, it doesn't necessarily mean they should. don't get me wrong--i think there are major problems with the church today, just as there always has been--but that doesn't mean we do everything wrong. and it doesn't mean that what the future christians see as wrong are actually wrong.

The world today is shrouded in Ignorance and Illusion!
What is right is considered wrong!
What is wrong is considered right!
The ego of man is insatiable!
Everyone finds fault with everyone else!
One mans trash is another mans treasure!
Where will it all end?

Religions in these times are traveling on the coattails of those that came before and have departed. And in "Truth" were not even sure where the departed have gone.

Who is to say what anyone might think in the future, we must learn how to think for today.

People living in the world today lack "Wisdom", and because of this, who knows what any outcome may be.

May that "One God" grant us all the "Grace" to see the "Truth" and make amends for the errors of the past

My opinion as Christian, First the problem is not Christianity but it is humans themselves. Humans will go to war for any reason, for territories, for idealism, prejudice weather is the look of an individual or color of skin or languages. Men are evil, Jesus Himself said that there is no one good not even one, we are quick to spill blood. With out Jesus, we are an endangered specie. Second How can you understand this, if even the name that you use is in conflict? Conservative and liberal, it is a contradiction.

most likely. i also believe that they will look back and wonder why so many Christians turned away from GOD and then blamed GOD for it. they will probably want to know why we behaved in a way that did not show our Christianity to others in the world. talk is cheap ,actions really do speak louder than words and in this generation our actions are barely whispering.

Yes...I think many things we do today, as Christians and not, will be seen as barbaric in the future.
