When did the idea of "God" from the modern day Christian perspective originate and in what society?

The idea of "God" originated in prehistory (ie. Hinduism began in prehistory), and Abraham came up with the idea of one God being greater than all others, even though Abraham was polytheist. When Moses received the Ten Commandments, this was when God was first recognized as the one and only God.
As for the modern Christian image of God... Jesus from Nazareth around 20 A.D. was the first to come up with the modern Christian God. However, His words were sorta decoded (is that the right word?) by St. Paul and the Church through the years. Constantine convened a council in Nicaea in 325 A.D. that wrote the Nicene Creed, which states most of our modern beliefs in God.

"God" started in the begining of time. People then thought their was a larger entity governing the universe, they named it 'Greatness of Darkness' as they believed that the light was in sight. Just like the many other religions that have followed throughout the thousands of years of human existance - God doesn't exist and is just make belief.

God was.
He made all things.
He revealed Himself to His creation Adam.
Adam sinned.
Man fell and lost touch with God.
Man groped for God, did not find Him, so made up his own gods.
God pitied Man.
God sent His Son from heaven to become a man.
His Son removed all obstacles.
Now by faith in Jesus we can know God again.
I know.

it started around 4 or 5 thousand years ago each civilization had its own idea of god and then the myth grew and ideas all got incorparated into the myth
