As Christians we share our joy and love of the Lord openly. As a result we witness and use our positive experiences to help others, so if you are so happy why aren't you sharing your joy? The only thing I see or hear from you guys are angry and slanderous remarks against God and Christians. Surely, you have some postive experiences to share.

Because they have no joy to share.

Share the joy?

Heck, I put my cool art videos on the Internet where thousands of people can enjoy them. If somebody comes over to my home, I'm more than happy to spark a doob with them.

As for religion, I love to share the Good News that if a person stops believing in a damnation-happy Cosmic Sadist, they'll have a lot more enjoyment out of life...

Ohhhhh, so thats why Christians created hell, and made every natural thing a human does a sin. To share you love and joy? Thanks for the lesson. You do realize that the so-called god you follow is nothing but a made up entity used to scare people into behaving in a certain way? And from what I've read of the Bible God is nothing but a sexist, bloodthirsty dictator.

Abe Lincoln was an Atheist who set into motion the removal of slavery from American society. Neither the Bible, nor the God it describes, has a single problem with the idea of "owning" another human being and calling them slaves.

Bill Gates is an Atheist who operates one of the largest private charities in the world.

I just came home from volunteering at a local hospital's cancer wing.

Maybe we're just too busy making a difference on real things to sit around feeling good about ourselves for having imaginary friends.

I am. But not with you. I'm sick to death of the arrogance of the Christians.

You don't share joy honey, you expect praise for being nice, you expect that because you're doing something since you book told you to (not because its just the right thing to do) that somehow, you're going to go to this wonderful place where all you do is bask in some gods glory all day so he can think he's wonderful. And then you try to force others to live by your religion whether they want to or not.

Thats not joy, its harassment and worse.

I used to share my joy, back before the restraining order.

You don't know any of us nor do you know how we go about our daily lives. We have kids we teach and play with, we have jobs we strive to do our best at, we have sick friends and relatives we take care of, we have long nights where we huddle in the basement trying to comfort ourselves when the tornado sirens are blaring, we donate clothes to Goodwill and money to Gleaners, we work the soup kitchen on Thanksgiving. We do many positive and "normal" things like most everybody else.

The people who's lives we touch are greatful, and that's enough. There's no need to inform every last person on the planet about it, because that part isn't important.

Why should I? I have had more positive experiences in my life than you ever will. I share those with my family and my friends. Do you want to hear about them? Just e-mail me and I'll share my joy with you. Kind of a dumb question, isn't it?

I share my joy plenty with my family, friends, neighbors and community.

However, I don't need to get in someones face and tell them my way is the only way or else they are doomed to some awful made up prison world run by a bogeyman.

Sure I do. But when I talk about god in the Cats section, they boot me out...

So, how exactly is telling a gay person that they are going to hell "sharing love and joy?"

Because proselytizing is known to be a pain in the butt to people. Christians do that enough. I was raised that you didn't talk about religion, politics or how much money someone made. If someone asks me how I believe, I tell them.

atheist
