Its no longer that we mock you. i detect that maximum atheists answer actually, and christians take extensive offence. Its no longer merely that although, we mock you in case you offend us besides. Its a conflict at right here, its like a conflict, who can get the main thumbs up or down. i've got not got self belief in god, and that i can not lie, i think of the perception itself (to an quantity) is ridiculous, yet I dont mock people. There are people who do of direction, yet at right here i think of its by way of fact its extra or much less a conflict between atheism and theism, and a few people insult as a skill of arguing. no longer all atheists are like that, merely how no longer all christians are closed-minded and mocking people besides.

How exactly is atheism a comparison to Kim Jong Il's golfing?
Seems to me that his claims of perfection beyond the pale of mortal ken, and his lack of physical evidence to support his claims bear a great similarity to religious faith, and their claims of afterlives, salvation and unquestionable holy books.
As you say, they would be laughable if they weren't so terribly sad.

Atheists not believing in god (which is the definition of an atheist, btw) is like a communist nation spreading propaganda concerning the more-than-likely fabricated golf score of their cruel leader, who will surely kill anyone who dares disagree, along with that person's entire family? Where do you get this from? They're not even remotely similar.
Kim Jong-Il and family are not atheists, by the way. They promote a personality cult in which they are the gods and their subjects are encouraged to worship them.

That's funny. It's disturbing the extent to which people go to in order to gratify their own ego, and all the while trying their hardest to avoid questioning. Fragile beliefs are held by fragile people, both broken to pieces by even the slightest bit of scrutiny.

As for disproving God, I don't think old books and faith really count as credible evidence, so there's nothing for me to disprove. The burden of proof lies with the theists.

what does it take to convince a person there is no life after death..... no one has ever come back and acknowledged it's existance... no one can come back and complain.... even those so called burning in eternal hell haven't escape to let us know....
you talk about this Jesus tale.... resurected they say, in 3 days.... but here you are 2000 yrs later still waiting for news.... he is gone to prepare a place for you, but he never returned... how long will you wait before you figure out you've been duped?
