Christians always tell me that he loves me, but I've gathered that I'm gonna burn if I don't love and accept Jesus. So he only loves me if I love him first - right? Does that strike you as being a bit childish and egotistical?

Something like that - he loves you anyway but will burn you in hell if you don't love him back.
My dog, on the other hand, loves me no matter what.

Jesus has always loved you and will always love you. People put fear into our hearts to make us believe that that is the only way you will enter heaven. If you are a true Christian then yes, you do have to accept Jesus into your heart. As long as you believe in him and are true to yourself, the love will come naturally. Now, If you are just asking this because you are not Christian and are making fun of someones beliefs then I hope you burn in what ever hell you believe in.

If you want to get to Heaven, you must follow the way there. Jesus said that He was the only way. (John 14:6)
Using your logic, you'd say the the highway designers were childish and egoistical if you desired to go from Florida to New York, but only wanted to travel Interstate 40. (Which only runs east to west.)
Besides, Jesus loved you so much that He paid the penalty for your sins. A response of gratitude would be nice.

That's not the way it works. Jesus loves you regardless, however, accepting Him as your Lord and personal Saviour is what gets you into heaven. To make things simple for you think of heaven as winning the lottery. How can you win the lottery without a ticket? Jesus is our ticket to heaven. Peace and God bless.

Jesus did love you first. He loved even before ou were bron. He knew you even then.
It's not his fault that if you dont accept him into your life you're going to burn. It was YOUR choice. He's opening up his arms if you would just come to him, but if you deny him, he tries to get every single person to enjoy everlasting life with him. Even if you were the only person on Eath, Jesus would've died for you. Jesus died for you and me. He got his beard and skin ripped off for you and me. He got tortured for you and me. He wanted to do this for you and me because he didnt want any of hs children to. It is not Jesus' fault you might not go to heaven, if you just accept him and follow him, you'll be up there. If you deny him, then it's you're fault and it was your choice. not his.

You are right the false teachers, Say that their god is so loving that if you do not accept His love He will burn you in hell for eternity... They can keep their God..and false christ
The most high living God of Israel sent Jesus to give a message to the people.. and we have received grace for grace..
grace means: ..... God's love for mankind..
So translation is: God's love for mankind for God's love for mankind... and this is what we must do and be judged on..
The false teachers say you must just accept the name Jesus..However I tell you to accept His name and not the laws of the spirit will do you no good..
You must accept the spirit of: good of others and things.
You must accept the spirit of: Truth for good.
You must accept the spirit of: Righteousness to others and things.
This you must practice and do..
To speak out against those who do evil to others and things, is to confess the spirit of Jesus in your live..
To accept and confess..the above is Jesus in you no matter what religion or no religion in the world.
God will only do evil to evil in any religion..or no religion in the world.

Actually, its more like he is pissed that youre not returning the favor... The Bible says that Jesus loved us first. So, he expects love in return. No return love, then off to the firey pits for you!
