66, but have an index for "Old Testament" and one for "New Testament" And you will need 27 for the New Testament and 39 for the Old

There have always been 73 since the Bible was first complied about 1600 years ago.
protestants only have 66, because Luther took out 7 books from the Old Testament during the reformation 500 years ago.

Depends on the version. If I recall correctly, the Protestant versions have 66, and the Catholic ones 74.

there are 73 in the catholic bible but that means that they added to the bible there is only 66 books in the chritian bible
and that meand that nothing has either been added or taken away
