Strange question, but I just felt like asking it.

I was reading someone else's post earlier where they were said:

"Only God Himself is perfect".

Why the male tense for a being of immense power that surely transcends the basic stereotypes that our minds use to contain infinity? Lots of people tend to say "The Lord God", "He is perfect", etc.

Why is that? Is it simply because originally some religions were a male dominated religion and still hasn't quite worn off? Is there something I am missing (which I think I am)?

On a side note, has there ever been a female Pope?

Well, there is freedom of religion, and it doesnt seem so for Christians because they always get beat down. they cannot put a cross up to commemorate and stuff becuase there will always be a person complaining that it bothers them to see a cross near their workplace. what bothers me the most is that people do acutally take action against Christianity and when it comes to other non monotheistic religions they say something like "its our freedom of religion." im so ticked off.

i've found the majority of christians don't believe in extraterrestrial life of any kind. why is it? is it written in the bible somewhere? if we were ever visited by intelligent life from another planet or if we ever found remnants of life on a distant planet would that change your thinking? or would you still deny that life can and probably does exist on other planets?

I think then kids could be taught about importants issues like drugs etc. I fail to see any purpose to religion Hitler was brought up Catholic so you can`t say it makes people have better morals. Jesus said: "The Spirit of the Lord is on me,because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor."

I know many of you are doing what you can to help those in need. I also know that many Churches throughout America are not only doing their part, but are actually playing a leadership role in trying to change the way we treat those in need.

Still: can't we be doing a lot more, when millions of children have no health care and go to bed hungry?

I was watching this video of all these atheists, Grown men they stated their testimony because the video was about death all these atheists in the videos had a near death experience, and it was not scripted and some cried they got very emotional, All of them are no longer Atheists. the first guy he said When you are on your death bed it is the hardest thing to do is to be Atheist on your death bed. the first guy his story was in his early 20s and now he's maybe 50 something anyway his story was his life was crashing down he was a alcoholic and his wife was leaving him and not allowing him to see his son, one night he went and took his Son anyway not forcefully but the kid decided to go with him without mom knowing. they went to a store and at the store he got into a argument with some man and he pushed the man the man fell on beer bottles and then he got up and took one of the broken bottles and stabed him with it

i think its ridiculous that a question i asked earlier i was accused of being racist.i said nothing degrading or demeaning .my question was in regards to the legality of my ex daughterinlaw giving her unborn child who happens to be bi-racial her maiden name.she still uses her ex-husbands name which is fine cause they have 2 kids together.dont assume anything about me ,i love my grandchildren and would never say anything about their brother.i am not insensitive or stupid but i am tired of stupid people thinking white people are always racist and cannot be proud of being white.its a double standard.and i worry for my exdaughterinlaw and my grandkids and this baby too.she has hurt my son enough and race has nothing to do with it.its a long story but i only want good things for us all.you have no right to scream racist all the time its getting old and boring.good luck.
