If you are Atheist you don't believe in any type of theism.

Why do you even waste you time trying to do your "noble deed" and "educate" us Christians while failing at slandering our faith?

Do you feel the burning anger yet?

Try some sites
www.tektonics.org
www.carm.org

By the way for all of you that post skepticsannotatethebible links, that has been debunked time and time again. It's namely people who want the quick "Ah hah!" reaction and doesn't hold merit in transliteration (from errors in translation from Hebrew and Greek both in meaning and context), historical fact, nor culture

You have no point in doing what you are doing other than trying to destroy what you have never had, or lost.... Faith.

Now go tell me Love doesn't exit.... and if it does, show me LOVE, the actual FEELING of love in a test tube.

Gosh, where to begin addressing this ridiculous rant...

We try to 'educate' you for the same reasons you try to 'educate' us, but you call it 'converting'.

We're not angry, you are. Shame on you.

Nothing in the skepticsannotatethebible has been 'debunked', you simply decided to consider the points made on that site invalid.

We have no point in doing what we're doing except for destroying utter credulousness and self-deception? Sounds noble to me.

Love does exist, as a FEELING. No one pretends to be able to show you FEELINGS, since they exist ONLY in the human mind.
YOU however tell us that God is NOT just a feeling. YOU tell us that He is a real, incarnate being, and yet you cannot show him to us. And THAT, Chris, is the part of all this that you just seem to not fully understand.

If you're getting a lot of hostility from people you're referring to as atheists, then maybe it's because you're being aggressive in your religious practices to the point of annoyance. Most non-religious people could care less about another person's beliefs... so long as they don't force it on others. Such as in trying to pass laws in government based on their beliefs regardless of how others believe.

I'm not sure what you're referring to with the "post skepticsannotatethe bible links", but if your referring to contradictions in the bible, they are absolutely there.

At the same time, keep your faith and be happy with it. More power to you and all that. Most biblical contradictions are easily explained away if you use interpretation through faith. So you have nothing to worry about from debunkers.

Poor Mr Grumblewumble

Just because I am an atheist doesn't mean I dont have morals - morals are not intrinsically linked with religion and faith...morals are basic common sense.

The purpose of this formum is not for Christians to rant and rave and preach...it is for anyone of any religion or spiritual persausion to make an input. It is for learning and exchange of principles.

Atheists may not have a religion, but some of us do have spirituality and I do believe this forum is called "Religion and Spirituality".

Please calm down before you have a heart attack!

Regards,
The Peaceful Atheist

P.S We love you!! ;P

Is there a point to this rambling?

I don't know if you've noticed, but most of the folks in charge nowadays are particularly conservative Christians who can and occassionally try to pass laws based soley on their religious convictions.

Did you know that in seven states it is illeagal for me to try to run for a public office because I'm an atheist?

Further, the total impossibility of certain claims (talking animals, worldwide flood, sun stopping in the sky, rivers turning to blood), and the extremely questionalble morality of your own Biblical heroes (genocide, mass murder, slavery, willful ignorance, rape-as-punishment) give me no reason whatsoever to not believe in your faith. When you try to pass this sort of stuff off as real and/or virtuous, you are actually giving me reason to oppose you.

Do not be angry with the Atheist.

If you buy into a hatred it will come back at you tenfold.

It was once said "that I am the way, the truth, and no man may come to my father but through me".

In this was said "to seek the truth, look into your own self and "God" awaits. For "I am the truth, and in truth is the Father.

You ask a question but fail to see the truth; as you say Atheist serve no purpose, yet they bring attention to "God" and this is wisdom as many would not think of God but for the Atheist.

If an Atheist asked to proove God exist, show them their own Anger and ask them for whom this anger is for?

If it is for ignorance let it be theirs.

If they are angry with your beliefs, ask them why are they so concerned with your Truth as it is yours and they may have theres;

Have no need for anger for in thier own hatred they serve the truth.

:)

I don't care what other people believe if they keep it to themselves. I only care about it when they try to tell ME to believe it, too. I care when they judge me based on those beliefs. I care when they try to force me to LIVE by their beliefs. I care when I have to fight to keep someone else's religious dogma out of the laws *I* have to live by, and the science classrooms that my children are learning in. I care when I have a cookout on a Sunday, and we can't run out and buy beer if we need to because my state doesn't sell liquor on Sundays because of someone else's religious beliefs. I care when they hold up scientific breakthroughs that can save millions of lives because of their religious beliefs. I care when I see religious whack jobs protesting at people's funerals and tormenting the already grieving families. I care because my cousin tried to commit suicide because she couldn't come to terms with her homosexuality because of her own religious beliefs, and the harsh judgements she was so afraid she'd receive from others. I care when a presidential candidate says "No, I don't know that atheists should be considered as citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is one nation under God." and not only is it considered OK that he said that, but he still gets elected.
THAT'S why I care.

Google oxytocin. It's the hormone and neurotransmitter that's released during physical contact which creates the various aspects of love, including bonding and trust.

You lost that one, sweetie.

Christians actively try and get mythology taught as science in public schools.

Christians actively refused rights to homosexuals.

Christians actively lobby to block scientific research.

Christians believe they have a right to tell a woman what to do with her body.

Just as Christians have a right to do all those things, atheist have the right to try and stop them. The freedom goes both ways.

Because too many alleged Christians want to push their 'morality' onto the rest of us who have progressed past the ethics of stone age nomads.

They care because Christians keep attempting to force everyone into their beliefs. It's that simple.

Stop wanting to teach religion in science classes, stop trying to make laws so that marriage - a legal contract - fits your religious definition, stop pushing your views onto everyone and no one will give a darn what you believe.
