What do you consider gossip? Assuming you are NOT sworn to secrecy... If someone tells you she is pregnant and you tell someone else, is that gossip? If she tells you the baby isn't her husband's, does THAT make it gossip? If someone has an accident and you discuss that with other people (as in "Isn't it terrible what happened to...?" is that gossiping? Or is it simply being sympathetic and interested in people you know?

Does it have to be UNTRUE to be gossip?

What makes gossip, 'gossip'?

It's Flag Day, 2007, and today the Massachusetts Legislature voted DOWN an RRR-Cult-initiated attempt to infest the state's constitution with a Bigotry Amendment against same-sex marriage (SSM). America clearly is growing up, and OUTgrowing the mindless bigotries and agendas of the Religious Radical Right. For as long as the RRR has been whining about SSM, and has infested much of the land with supposed "Defense of Marriage" acts and state constutional amendments -- it has NEVER been able to tell anyone just *how* SSM could possibly pose ANY threat to the marriages of *any* opposite-sex couples.

The KKK and the RRR are the two primary hate-groups that have impacted America over the last century. Fortunately, the KKK became a laughingstock decades ago, and the transformation of the RRR has already reached that stage in the minds of most of America's sensible and intelligent egalitarians. Who, it now is clear, include most of Massachusetts' legislators. BRAVO, Massachusetts!!

This is depressing! :(

This group...who prints things that are NOT true about Islam by they way...says that:

[4] It shall be a felony punishable by 20 years in prison to knowingly act in furtherance of, or to support the, adherence to Islam. (I guess this includes me)

[5] The Congress of the United States of America shall declare the US at war with the Muslim Nation or Umma. (all muslims)

[6] The President of the United States of America shall immediately declare that all non-US citizen Muslims are Alien Enemies under Chapter 3 of Title 50 of the US Code and shall be subject to immediate deportation. (must include my dh then...)

[7] No Muslim shall be granted an entry visa into the United States of America.
Apparently there was a sympathetic article about this group publised in Insight magazine (part of the Washington Times).

I know I can't fire them for religious beliefs, but if Creationism really is an "alternative scientific explanation" then it would be no different than firing an accountant for working in Base 8 and refusing to use the decimal system, would it?

If they sued me and won, that would prove creationism is theology rather than science!

It is, they need to catch up to Canada and the UK. They need to legalize homosexual marriage or at least homosexual civil unions. It's sad, the US claims to be one of the world's best countries, but two of it's best allies far surpass them in civil rights.

I think I read that somewhere, but I could be wrong. Yes, I know that happens in the Freddy Kruger movies, but thats not where I got it from. I was just wondering if it happens for real, because I've had three nightmares (all at different times, even years) that I was about to die but I woke up before my last breath. Does anyone actually think that if the "traditional family" groups hammer away enough, that people in same-sex relationships are going to give up on wanting to get or stay married? Do they think we'll collectively say, "We really have been a bother, and we're sorry, and we understand why we're supposed to be treated differently?"

Or is it more likely that with every attempt at a vote, every amendment, every court decision, every Lucy-and-the-football moment, we'll get angrier and more determined?

My wife and I have felt like giving up and just loving each other and living together more than once, and then we realize what a stupid attitude that is, because all the things we do have come from LGBTs fighting for the right to love.

What do you think will finally make the fighting stop?

most people who believe in something. Like wiccans believe in the earth, Christains in God, Catholics in Marry so on and so fourth.
