What do you think is the reason for the constant put downs?

More tea vicar, I don't hate anyone. Why do you judge me? Because God has given me peace and joy? You too can have this joy. Accept Jesus.

nuPhyllis, you have only coralled the weak in spirit. A true Christian would not entertain blasphemous conversation. I will pray for you.

Ahh, Randy. So young and easily confused. I am not hurt by these posts. In fact I rejoice in the knowledge that God Is Real, and a seed has been planted in some of you that will grow. You will be surprised at yourself soon. Go and grow in peace.

insulting us insults God. they believe by doin' this that we will give up on him. we should just continue to pray for them and hope that they find their way before it's too late. (you can lead a horse to water but you can not make him drink it!!)

CONTINUE TO PRAY
AND SPREAD THE WORD

GOD BLESS YOU

The insults are not for all Christians. And the insults are not only from the non-believers, but from the believers as well. All the insults go to ones who condemn people to hell for not going along with what they say, or what they believe. To the ones that force Christianity down peoples throat. The ones who try to strike anyone down in the name of God or Jesus.

These are the Christians that all the insults would go to. No one insult your belief. No insults they way you believe. But your actions and your words are what instigates the insults.

Many Christians only remember the Bible to prove a point. But forget all the lessons that it teaches.

2 main lessons that Christians forget.

First. Judge not, for yee will be judged.
Second. Yee without sin, cast the first stone.

Devil Dog, you have something that a lot of people don't have (including myself) You have God to watch your six. I applaud you for that. Maybe one day I'll committ myself to God. But to answer your question, most of them are actually jealous of Christians. I've seen real Christians go through difficulties only to come out stronger and more blessed than ever. On the other hand, I've seen people who hate God go from the frying pan into the fire and almost lost their minds but God had pity on them so now they're humble. Don't worry about the put downs. God has your six hard charger! Rah!

Well, we *do* tell them that Jesus said He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that no man comes to the Father except through Him. That's about as definite as it gets, and I suspect some people think we're arrogant for saying that there's no other way to Heaven than through Christ Jesus.

And some of the insulters are apparently so hung up on their own intellects that they feel superior to someone who relies on faith. Those are the ones who say that we're ignorant or uneducated.

Then there are those who hate God and want nothing to do with Him. They seem to enjoy hurting His people with their blasphemy and taunts, as if that's somehow going to hurt Him.

In any case, the put-downs aren't going to change my mind about Jesus being my Lord and Savior.

As a Christian I have seen it go both ways. People are people. There are polite people who respect others and there are belligerent people who use insults. I have seen Christians and non-believers in both categories.
Rather than asking about the flaws of the non-believers, perhaps you could ask enlightening questions about what more Christians can do to rise above boorish behaviors.

Cause we think you are ignorant uneducated uncultured people with no real knowledge about the origin of your religion.

Blind faith is a joke.

Just think if we had Blind science.

Its just stupid.

Don't go to church. Make a meal for a homeless person.

Or build bird houses for endangered species.

Spend your time on things that are important instead of building cathedrals to a man who shall never walk in them.

Christians are making monuments to the dead, and forgetting to live in the process.
Isn't that what Revelations warns you of? Worshiping something that takes you further from the true path of Christ?

Sorry,, it just seems like you could use your time better.

go cure cancer.
cause,,, I don't think God is just going to cure it for you.
He gave you brains- so use them.
You aren't going to figure 'him' out anyway.

OH--
and there is a difference in having knowledge of some nature and really having the capacity to understand what is important and useful.
That is what i mean when I say uneducated.
I speak of cognitive ability.
Not a degree in Blah blah blah.

And I'm not going to 'go' anywhere.

People should commit to educating themselves and I refuse to let them think it is okay to waste their time.

Satan. Remember Satan will do anything to try and dissuade us from being Christians.

He is the Father of lies and is the same reason that people tell us that the Bible is not the Word of God.

He is the king of manipulation.

Satan is trying to win souls away from God and that is why Satan has created false religions like Buddhism or Islam.

According to God, any religion that does not recognize Him as the Creator or Jesus as our Savior is a false religion.

There is an old saying: The greatest trick the devil pulled was convincing the world that he doesn't exist.

I don't even really pay much attention to the ridiculous comments posted by opposers of the Word of God. I realize that it's opposition of the enemy. Who hates the Word of God? Satan uses people to hurl insults. I've been through plenty of spiritual warfare so the nonsense that is in R/S doesn't touch one of my hairs. I know who's work that is...As a woman of God I am discerning..shake it off..keep on stepping. Keep on speaking the Word of God..and keep my joy.

I've been through so much more..So those insults are a joke and don't even penetrate my spirit. It's nothing but the enemy trying to persecute the Saints of God. "Be in courage", Man of God.

The put downs probably stem from bad experiences they had with believers. I personally am a Christian, but I do know that there are judgmental, hypocritical, hateful, etc. ones that exist. It's no wonder so many are turned off by our faith. However, we need to convey to non-believers that not all Christians are alike and that we're not perfect. "Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven."

I'm afraid some Christians have been less than Christ-like in their questions and responses. It makes them angry and in a cyberworld insults are the only way to retaliate. Maybe if Christians were more loving and less trigger happy we wouldn't be insulted. On the other hand, what did we expect? The world will hate us because they hate God.

I think it is the answer to constant pushing by the Christians to get "saved". It's okay to ask, but if a person isn't interested, accept their wishes and move on.

I don't think that others want you to deny your God (they most likely don't really care one way or the other) it's just that Christians need to lighten up a bit.
