I want answer by email from a Muslim scholar

2007-06-17 23:47:01 · 18 answers · asked by DILEEPKUMAR 1 in Religion & Spirituality

Yesterday some guests came to house and my family entertained them well; I was in the middle of work and not exactly enthused to meet them and was not even polite to say Hello. Why I just ignored all of 'em as small talk p*sses me off - how are you? What are your kids doing?

I really choose the people I like to meet and as a result, my friend circle at present is no more than 2-3 friends - that too I see like once in a month or something.

I'm happy of course for whatever it is but my mom's not easy over yesterday's incident. She refuses to talk to me since then and I don't know what to do.

I was not always like that - even 2-3 years back I enjoyed my deal of popularity and fame. It's just that I like being recluse now -

My mom adviced me to see a psychiatrist but i don't see anything wrong in me. What say?

Small people, small talk - pish posh

What does make you think and feel?

"As far as the question of taking life in retaliation for murder or the
question of punishment for spreading corruption on this earth is con-
cerned, it can be decided only by a proper and competent court of
law. If there is any war with any nation or country, it can be decided
only by a properly established government. In any case, no human
being has any right by himself to take human life in retaliation or for
causing mischief on this earth. Therefore it is incumbent on every
human being that under no circumstances should he be guilty of
taking a human life. If anyone has murdered a human being, it is as if
he has slain the entire human race. These instructions have been
repeated in the Holy Quran in another place saying:

Do not kill a soul which Allah has made sacred except through the due
process of law ... (6:151)"

Ok, for a while, I wasn't able to see out of half of my right eye, for about an hour. Now I can see again, and I can see again. But now I cannot read hardly at all. I can talk, and event type coherently, at least I think so. But I cannot read coherently very well at all.

I can't even read simple words. For example, I have struggled for a long time to read simple words like "at" or "grow". I have to read VERY slowly to make sense at all even to understand.

For example, I was reading over my own what I am writing now, and I read "all" as if it said "law". The word "right" I thought said "side." I thought "present" in a book said "beside." And I stared at it for a long time, and still thought that is what it said, until I realized it didn't make sense.

I am not on any drugs, or anything. This just started this morning when I woke up. All my family is asleep. Will I get better or should I wake them up to go to the doctor?

It is hard to despise someone who is kind to you, especially when you wrong them, and they maintain the integrity to be good to you anyway. Why not try it?

What does this quote make you think? If you went to the site, what did you find?

"The first thing that we find in Islam in this connection is that it
lays down some rights for man as a human being. In other words it
means that every man whether he belongs to this country or that,
whether he is a believer or unbeliever, whether he lives in some forest
or is found in some desert, whatever be the case, he has some basic
human rights simply because he is a human being, which should be
recognized by every Muslim. In fact it will be his duty to fulfil these
obligations."

This question is going to get alot of hate. I know. I just want to know why we can't all forget about color and be fair? Why don't we get as many rights as blacks?

-Black people get black entertainment tv, but if we had white entertainment tv.. We'd be racist.

-America celebrates black history month, but if we suggested white history month.. We'd be racist.

-Black people constantly call each other "the N word", but if a white person says it.. Its racist

-Black people call us names like "Cracker" and "Whitey", but if we say anything about you being colored.. We're racist.

-Blacks have The United ***** Fund, but If we had an organization to help whites advance our live.. Its racist.

-Blacks have the NAACP but if we had a ollege fund that only gave white students scholarships.. we'd be racist.

Wouldn't the have abridged those passages while they still had exclusive rights to the Book. Or were the to busy reviling in their "whoreish" ways to catch the reference.

This is a question but I'm sure some jerk will report it within the hour. Will you pray for my brother? He's is just on a path to hell. Right now he is in the county jail for a DWI. From what I hear he is also leaving his wife and moving to another state to live with another brother. The man needs some serious Holy Spirit intervention. Would you please pray for him?

I have seen several ironic questions asked in R&S, some very humorous. Why is it that absolutely always there is some sanctimonious reply?

eg. Does Got hate just me, or is it everyone?

Somebody will reply "No, God loves all people, he does not hate anyone" - I can just hear the whine.

So, enlighten me, please?

I can across this website by a writer named D. Midbar that suggests you can have a spiritual life and pray without believing in any god or anything supernatural? Possible? http://atheistprayer.blogspot.com/

I hate having to say something that will be incredibly controversial and provide a lot of arguments, but it needs to be said.

1.) Did you ever consider that the reason that parents teach religion to their children is because they love them? When you love someone, you want to do whatever you can to help them, and that includes teaching religion because the parents truly believe that it will help their children. When you say that children are brainwashed, you're saying that love is brainwashing.

2.) Atheists have more of an opportunity to "brainwash" children than religion. With the exception of private schools, atheists get to teach children for seven hours a day, five days a week, nine months a year. Since they have plenty of protection to keep religion out, they can teach whatever they want. At home, children don't always have to listen and have other priorities, so parents aren't guaranteed to have time to teach their children. In school, children are forced to listen.

Do you think this quote demonstrates tolerance?

" "This is a message written by Muhammad ibn Abdullah, as a covenant to those who adopt Christianity, far and near, we are behind them. Verily, I defend them by myself, the servants, the helpers, and my followers, because Christians are my citizens; and by Allah! I hold out against anything that displeases them. No compulsion is to be on them. Neither are their judges to be changed from their jobs, nor their monks from their monasteries. No one is to destroy a house of their religion, to damage it, or to carry anything from it to the Muslims' houses. Should anyone take any of these, he would spoil God's covenant and disobey His Prophet. Verily, they (Christians) are my allies and have my secure charter against all that they hate. No one is to force them to travel or to oblige them to fight. The Muslims are to fight for them. If a female Christian is married to a Muslim, this is not to take place without her own wish.
