This question is going to get alot of hate. I know. I just want to know why we can't all forget about color and be fair? Why don't we get as many rights as blacks?

-Black people get black entertainment tv, but if we had white entertainment tv.. We'd be racist.

-America celebrates black history month, but if we suggested white history month.. We'd be racist.

-Black people constantly call each other "the N word", but if a white person says it.. Its racist

-Black people call us names like "Cracker" and "Whitey", but if we say anything about you being colored.. We're racist.

-Blacks have The United ***** Fund, but If we had an organization to help whites advance our live.. Its racist.

-Blacks have the NAACP but if we had a ollege fund that only gave white students scholarships.. we'd be racist.

Yeah, their ancestors were enslaved. It wasn't them who suffered and It wasn't me who enslaved them. Why do I have to suffer for it?

Yeah! Did you know that some high school students decided to make a club for only the white students because the other ethnicities had them... they all got sent to court for being racist but the African-american, Latino, and Asian clubs were not even questioned!

Remyredroulette16 - Thats bull ****. Many whites were slaves at one point or another too.

There are MANY MANY poor white people that can't afford college or even homes. How can you say that? Skin color has nothing to do with financial stability.

Hell, my ancestors went through alot too. Indians have been forced onto reservations, the irish were kept as slave, ETC!

Why, may I ask, don't whites need a history month? We've been through alot too.

And as I said before. Its not MY fault they were slaves! Don't make me feel bad for it because I had nothing to do with it!

I understand your point. Maybe because whites are the majority.

White ppl will alwayz be known for their history of rascism . Black ppl used to be slaves, whites owned them, Hispanics an Asians had nothin to do with any of this during those times. Most White ppl are still racist to this day an that will never be forgotten. White ppl are the only ones who would do some stupid stuff like paint their faces another color an perform Minstrel shows, how racist is that!! I know not all White ppl are racist, but it's in their bloodline an their past history. An whites don't need a fund to help them out in life, they already have everything, an i'm sure white ppl have money to go to college, many of them aren't poor . Of course if u say anything about a black person's skin color, it will be racist because Black ppl's ancestors have gone through a lot. Whites don't need a white history month, The Holocaust an slavery say a lot about white history. I know u don't mean anything by asking this question, so don't think i'm goin off at u.

Personally, as a whole, if I'm thinking of racist white people, I only think of white men as being racist-not just because of the past though, but from experience, they live up to that stereotype and then some. I know anyone from any race can be racist, though, but the MAJORITY I've seen were white males...But as a whole, white people are the most ignorant, by far.

There are plenty of non-white racists. I see your point, but all of the aforementioned organizations were started in response to quite real racism.

As to Black History Month, one of the most interesting responses I heard was "we only get one month?". White history is very well documented - we need don't need a month - we have the whole year. As to "white entertainment TV", that is network TV. There are college funds that benefit only whites - they just don't say so. Private organizations can make their own rules. If government funds are involved that's different. I never use the "n word" because I think its ignorant. We will know when this is all over when nobody talks about it anymore. I'd give it about another 100 years.

From a black point of view...

-we have B.E.T. because if we didnt, do you really think rap, hip-hop and other "black" stuff would be put on TV? what I'm trying to say is white is the majority, the majority runs TV. BET is just one out of the hundred of channels just for blacks so we can watch our stuff. If you did W.E.T. you would just have the music and shows that are already on the other channels making no point.

-We have Black history month because if you haven't noticed, there isnt a lot of black history taught other than a bit of slavery. I remember when I was little, I came home crying because all my classmates learned about pilgrims and 1900s immigrants while I didnt learn about nothing.
Personally, I think it should be minority history month for other cultures.

-I personally HATE the N word. what a lot of white folks misunderstand is that not ALL blacks call each other that. In fact, More than 3/4 of the blacks in my neighborhood don't use that word. I believe it is "bad" from whoever utters it.

-Again, not ALL blacks call you crackers.

-UNCF closes the educational attainment gap between African Americans and the majority population. Having "white scholarships" wouldnt make sense because white are the majority.

-NAACP is mainly a corporation that deals with civil right issues.

Finally, you may never understand why there are things such a BET or NAACP. I may never understand why you Dont understand. You live in a different world where your the majority. I live where Im the minority.

I think it's unfair, too. It's a total double standard. "White Pride" immediately conjures thoughts of such despicable things as the KKK or Hitler (which is ridiculous; one can be proud of one's culture or race without being an insane murderer or bigot), while Black Pride or Latino Pride are perfectly acceptable and admirable.

I have NOTHING against Black pride or Latino pride. I just think that White/European should be able to do the same things without the damning label of "racist".

But then, I believe the term "racist" to be WAAAAY overused. There ARE incidents of racism; don't get me wrong. But people are so quick to say "that's racist!" these days, even if the topic in question isn't remotely related to race. Or worse, they use the term as an excuse to get out of a crime, or refute personal responsibility.

I believe in EQUALITY for all, not just for some.

Why can t we all just forget about racism altogether? It s not the 1930 or whatever, black people have just as many rights as white people, and so do all other cultures. We have cops who are racial profiling, purposely stalking black people and arresting them for the stupidest reason possible. It s true that black people commit a lot of crimes, but so do white people. If anything, at least where I live, the majority of the crimes are committed by white people. All this racism stuff is bullshit. i mean, can t we just look past our skin color for ONCE and see others for who they really are?

You're seeing it from your viewpoint - when I lived in the middle east it was a real eye opener - the way different races were looked upon was enough to make a KKK member blanche. Sure there's the old 'political correctness gone mad' in the west - but I'd rather have that than the alternative.

During the civil war period there were black slave owners who owned black slaves. Not to mention that it was black people in Africa who sold there fellow blacks in exchange for weapons that started mass killing and slave ports in Africa. All I am trying to say is that it was not the fact that they were black that made them slaves they were just slaves and blacks have not been the only slaves in fact there are still slaves today.

Let's not forget the clubs in schools...African American club, Latino Club, etc.....but try to have a caucasian club!
Yes, you are right.
Whatever happened to the concept of the melting pot? Now everything is to celebrate diversity.
That would be great, if you could get the diversity without division.

Because the blacks themselves feel inferior to the whites and they have to play victims, its a sort of collective manipulation. I have known a lots of non-whites who have nothing to do with these racial issues but they dislike the behaviors of the blacks and those who work with them think that most blacks are lazy , of course it doesn't mean all...
